Karsten is a cat whisperer! We were out of town for 4 days and she took care of our two tabby cats - one of them is a little skittish and rarely comes out for our past sitters. Within the first day she was able to get him out from under the bed and win him over with some treats. It’s such a relief when you get updates of your cats looking relaxed and happy while you’re away. Thank you Karsten!!
Karsten watched my two labs for a week while we were out of the country and she was very responsive and kept us up to date with all her visits. We were able to enjoy our time away knowing the pups were well taken care of.
Karsten was great. Without meeting my dog before, she was flexible with a somewhat short noticed booking. She was punctual and provided a pic to help me feel at ease. Will definitely use her again when I need a rover again
Karsten was so communicative and amazing to Chip and I. He’s a big pitty mix and she was in absolute control of him, hung out with him, took him on walks and played games and enriched him. I got back from my trip and he was very happy and well taken care of! Will book again! Thank you!

Karsten created the nightmare scenario that every pet parent dreads!!! She unexpectedly ABANDONED her contractual obligation 2 days into our 7-day booking, without arranging alternative care, while I was a thousand miles away in a different state, selfishly leaving my 2 innocent canine children scared, alone and without care indefinitely. As a former dog sitter myself, the trust of my clients and safety of their pets are TOP priorities, regardless of my personal feelings. So, if there is ever a concern or misunderstanding, it can easily be resolved by opening up the lines of communication (like 2 grown adults). Unfortunately, Karsten didn’t practice maturity, professionalism or emotional intelligence, when I sent her a schedule-clarifying text, which she claimed made her “uncomfortable”. I was completely caught off guard by her unhinged response, as my intention was strictly to get on the same page with her, not to create hostility. Rather than taking a moment to discuss the matter with me, she IMMEDIATELY bailed on me, and I was left to pick up the pieces of the chaos that ensued. She made it sound like Rover would just magically summon a new sitter to my home on the day before Christmas Eve. Instead I had to take time away from my grandmother’s last Christmas on this earth, so that I can emergency-search for a new sitter, and being forced to allow a complete stranger into my home because I couldn’t do a meet & greet in Austin as I was in Minnesota. All while my poor, innocent dogs, remained without a caretaker thanks to Karsten’s tragically poor judgement. Karsten claimed she LOVES my dogs, but it was so easy for her to risk their safety and walk away without remorse. I can’t imagine what she’s capable of doing to dogs she doesn’t like! Sorry but feeling uncomfy when a client expresses a simple concern doesn’t warrant this type of unforgivable, diabolical behavior.

Schedule
Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because I’m available all day, every day of the week. With a flexible schedule, I can easily accommodate walks, feedings, playtime, and check-ins whenever they’re needed. Since I’m always around, pets get consistent attention and care, whether it’s sticking to their normal routine or providing extra love and companionship while their owners are away.
