Hi! My name is Karlea (pronounced car-lee-ah). *I do accept bookings/payments outside of Rover for pawrents who find it easier or prefer direct contact with me! Please keep that in mind when viewing my profile, as I have had more booking experience through Rover than reflected here due to that!* A little about me- I am recent graduate of UW-Madison and I majored in Journalism and Communications and minored in Environmental Studies and Latinx Studies. I absolutely adore dogs- my parents have a Golden Retriever at home and she is truly the best. I also have experience caring for dogs not in the family! For three years I walked and cared for two dogs in Madison, a German Shepard and an Irish Setter. I have dogsat numerous times, including most recently a two-week watch for three Westies over the winter! I pride myself in understanding dogs well. I would love to care for your pet(s) out of my own adoration of animals & as a way to explore the city some more! With every experience I have walking/sitting pets I learn more about myself and the world, all in the company of some of the purest souls on this earth! I am also flexible with my rates! Karlea was WONDERFUL!!! She provided stellar care for our senior English Bulldog - he didn’t want to leave! Karlea communicated multiple times per day with texts and photos. Left us laughing every time. Highly recommended! ❤️

Schedule
I work as a fully remote part-time contracted campaign manager & make my own hours. Overall, I have a pretty open schedule and I would be able to care for your dogs well!

Safety, trust & environment
I live in an apartment in Lakeview East/Lincoln Park by myself. Only a few blocks from the lake, Lincoln Park, & multiple parks, I love to be outside and would be grateful to enjoy it with your pets! I live in a quiet & nice area, just a few blocks from a dog park as well!
A typical day
I love to go on long walks with dogs I care for and love to let them sniff away and take me on their own path! I love watching them explore the world and I’m just along for the ride to keep them safe! I also love to just cuddle and love on the dogs I care for- each has their own wonderful personality and I love seeing them shine!
