I’m available for boarding on weekends and after 6 pm on weekdays. I can fit walks and playtime any time during the weekends and after 2 pm on weekdays. I am very flexible and considerate, so we can also discuss any specific needs or concerns!

I live in an apartment (currently no pets🥲) and it’s a calm pet-friendly environment. I can easily host a small or medium pet. If I’ll be visiting your home, I make sure to maintain their usual routines and care for their comfort. I’m very detail-oriented, so know for sure that I’ll carefully follow all your instructions. I also take the cutest pics and vids of your pets and keep you updated of all the funs! Communication is very important to me, so I’ll make sure you’re informed about everything, whether it’s something funny or concerning.

A typical day
I am down for mostly anything. I love being outdoors exploring, but it all comes down to your pet’s personality. I like to get to know them and matching their energy. If they like going out, I’ll plan a fun day of activities like visiting dog parks, walking around town, or even joining me on errands like grocery shopping, grabbing a coffee, and other pet-friendly outings. Can take them for hikes, long walks, or energetic runs, can also chill with them at home with some fetch and play. Whatever makes them the happiest :)

Pet care experience
I’ve been taking care of dogs for over 10 years and started caring for cats 2 years ago. Pets of all sizes, from newborn puppies to seniors with health issues, always providing the same love, attention, and respect I would give to my own pets. Friends and family often trust me with their pets, knowing that I do it out of pure passion. I also volunteered and started a foster and rescue organization for stray animals back when I lived in Mexico. I am a very active person who loves walking and caring for others, and having dogs/cats with me only makes it more enjoyable! :) I’m new to Durham, and already excited to connect with the local animal community!

Karla stayed with my pit mix for the second time this weekend and she was great again! She sent updates and photos multiple times a day and my dog was very comfortable with her. Highly recommend Karla as a pet sitter!
Karla is a fantastic sitter! She gives such great care to my dog and communication is quick and easy. She also manages to capture the best photos! Would recommend without hesitation.
Karla is an absolute angel and we are so glad we found her! She went above and beyond offering a meet & greet before we left, then stayed in touch the whole time we were gone. We absolutely loved her updates a photos and will definitely be hiring her again!
Karla is so good. She asked great questions during the meet and greet and did a great job taking care of my 15 yo dog. She gave great updates, took him outside plenty of times, and my dog seems to really enjoy having her over. I’ll definitely use her again.
