I board and train horses and dogs full time, so I'm home the majority of the day! If I need to step out for errands, dinner with friends, training sessions with a client, or something else, I'm typically only gone for a few hours.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a very large dog fenced yard that the pups get to utilize as much as they'd like and my entire property is also fenced with a gated entry to make sure we prioritize safety. If your dogs are potty trained and not destructive they are welcome to roam free in the living room over night and if I'm away. If they are better suited for a crate or are crated at home, we can crate them for their safety and both of our piece of mind!

Information Karissa M. would like to know about your pet
My largest requirements are that your dog gets along well with other dogs (this doesn't mean that they have to want to play all day every day, or even at all. It just means they have to be able to peacefully coexist), and that they have no history of fence jumping. Dogs are all fed separately.
A typical day
When the weather is nice, I often leave the back door open so the pups can choose what their day looks like. The ones who prefer to explore and play can do that, and the ones who prefer to lounge can do that too!

Professional Care With Room To Play
Pet care experience
Hello, fellow dog lovers! I'm Karissa- let me tell you a bit about me, my home, and your pups vacation home! I bring over a decade of expertise as the former Director of Selection and Training for International Hearing Dog Inc. for 6 years. Since then, I've been passionately running a private boarding and training haven right from my home. Nestled on 43 acres just outside of Parker, my canine guests have a blast in the large, dog-fenced backyard. From playing chase to exploring the bushes and engaging in friendly wrestling matches, every day is an adventure tailored to your pup's preferences. When the sun is shining, I keep the back door open, granting them the freedom to choose between indoor lounging or outdoor escapades with their new pals. Each dog is able to choose what they'd like their day to look like because not all dogs are the same! I'm with your furry companions full-time, ensuring they have a home away from home experience. Whether we're playing, cuddling, or just lounging, your pups are treated like part of the family. For those colder days, fear not – we balance indoor time with frequent potty and play breaks outdoors. When I step out for errands or a quick bite, your well-behaved and potty-trained pups can roam freely. For the more mischievous ones, a crate ensures their safety and your peace of mind. I have pups of all sizes stay with me, I just ask that they get along with other dogs and have no history of fence jumping. I'm happy to give meds or feed special meals. I've crafted my home set up with a passion for personalized care, steering away from the typical kennel atmosphere. My goal is simple – I want your dog to have a vacation of their own. I'm excited to meet you and your pups!
Reviews

Karissa has such an amazing environment to her home! My dogs had a great time and they came back absolutely tuckered out. She really does have an in home Camp Bowwow! I will absolutely be using her every time we go out of town, our two high energy dogs were so happy and she made sure to send us pictures and updates one the days we were out of town. THANK YOU so much Karissa!!

Excellent dog sitting operation and warm welcome for our doggies! Plenty of fenced space to play on their secure farm property. The doggies were well taken care of. Highly recommend!

Karissa was amazing with our pup Harley. She invited us over to view her property and she answered all our questions. We felt really comfortable leaving our sweet girl with Karissa. During the stay Karissa sent pics of Harley playing in her yard. This was unexpected but made us feel like we made the right choice.

Our two dogs just stayed for 5 nights at Karissa’s. We loved that they could be comfortable there like they were at home, with the ability to move around the house freely, sleep on couches or dog beds, and get some cuddles with Karissa. They both love being with other dogs so that made it a fun and enjoyable stay for them. When I picked them up, they seemed so comfortable with the dogs and you could tell they had really connected with Karissa. She has a sweet, kind confidence with dogs that they really respond to. Also, I don’t think I’ve ever seen them as tired as they have been the past two days since I’ve picked them up. The playing and socializing really did them good. Karissa even sent rh home bathed! I know we’ll be booking with Karissa again!
