I’ve been pet/farm/house-sitting for 13 years. Have puppy/dog training experience, including rescue/abused dogs. I’ve cared for multiple animals including, but not limited to: dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, pigs, chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, and cattle, rats, mice, and Guinea pigs.

Short version: I highly recommend Karissa. Flat out give her give her a 10/10 for house sitting/pet sitting. Honest, reliable, detailed, caring, hard working. Long version: Karissa is one of the most trustworthy and reliable individuals that I have had the pleasure of knowing. She cares for your pets, plants/garden, mail, and your property like they were her own. Her love for animals is amazing, and has knowledge caring for all kinds. You can leave a very detailed list and she will follow it, whether it is feeding, watering, mucking stalls, scooping litter boxes, turning pets out for exercise time, giving your animals a lot or a little attention (whatever you desire), administering medicines/vitamins/supplements, etc. She has worked on some basic training for our pups while we were away, so they didn't forget their commands or manners...she may have fine tuned a thing or two. If it is muddy out, she will clean the floors if your pet sneaks past her before she can wipe their paws. Karissa cleans up after herself as well. Did your elderly pet soil itself? Consider its bedding washed/dried, and the pet cleaned. You want updates on how things are going? She'll send details and pictures of your babies. She will even put your garbage out on trash day! You may be able to get her to do your dishes and laundry if you ask! I'm always at ease when she can watch our dogs, cats, ducks, horses, and cows. I know they are in the most wonderful hands when Karissa is taking care of them! Our animals love her as well!

Schedule
I am self-employed and work remotely, so I can arrange my schedule as needed for services. I can work anywhere I have wi-fi! I'm also able to leave the house spur-of-the-moment for last-minute bookings. I do have a cardiac alert & mobility assistance service dog, so if he's allowed to come house-sit with me, just let me know. If not, he will happily stay at home with my husband. If he's with me during drop-ins, he stays in the truck for everyone's safety, so no need to worry about that!

I treat anyone’s pets better than my own to ensure top care! I am used to intricate feeding/medication schedules for all types of animals. My husband and I rent a house on a cattle ranch. We have a large fenced-in yard away from livestock and our horses. We have doggy gates throughout our home, so if dogs need to be separated during feeding, sleeping, etc. I am able to do that. I have dog crates available (large & small), if you don't want to bring your own. If I come to your home, I will follow any and all expectations and follow-up if something is unclear. I want my visits to be as close to what your pets are used to. I only board dogs from one household at a time, so you don't need to worry about your dogs being with any other dogs but our 2.

A typical day
Depending on how active the dog is, I will play fetch, go for walks/hikes, swim, etc. I have a few favorite hiking/biking trails in the area that I love! If your dog loves to hike, I have access to 13 miles of trails on the ranch where my husband and I rent as well as a fenced in yard and 4-acre horse pasture to run around in. If it's hot out, we have dog pools and a sprinkler for them to play in.
