Hey there! I started working with animals about 10 years ago by caring for friend's & family's pets when they've gone on vacations/out of town & I truly love doing it! I started with Rover in January 2018. My family had a dog while I was growing up, but I've had experience with dogs, cats, fish, turtles, guinea pigs, even chickens!! I love all sizes & breeds and I have no preference, I've cared for many different breeds from chihuahuas to great danes & everything in between. I always treat them as if they're my own - I ensure they are fed on time, taken out to do their business regularly, we take walks, and we relax together so the pets know they have a companion while their family is away. And I love spoiling them whenever I can! Also I know what to do in case there is an emergency, as I have experience with this. My main concern is the safety & well-being of your sweet animals so they may live long, happy, healthy lives. Plants/gardening are hobbies of mine as well, so tending to any of your houseplants or watering your garden is no problem either! A little background on me... I was born and raised in Fargo & I attended college in Moorhead, then I moved to the Twin Cities where I started doing Rover, but now I've been back in the area since 2018 & living in Moorhead. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have. To ensure that I'm the right fit for your pets, I require a meetup before I accept new client bookings. Safety, trust & environment
I take care of pets in their own home instead of my own for several reasons. The pet is already in their own environment with all the luxuries off home, they have their food, water, toys and blankets, and they're already comfortable there. I always care for the pet(s) and home as if they're my own.

It seems our dog likes Karissa more than us. She is reliable and you can tell she loves animals!
Karissa was awesome!!! She communicated regularly, and we came home to 2 very Happy pups! We highly recommend and will be contacting her again!
I was happy that Karissa was able to watch Minnie. I knew she would be well taken care of. I loved getting daily photos of Minnie and videos of her playing.
Another great jobb of taking car of Walker when we were out of town it's so nice to leave town and not have to worry about our spoiled dog or our home thanks again Karissa
Karissa was everything we were looking for in a pet sitter she was on time updated us with messages and pictures when we came home it was like we never left. Would definitely recommend we will be using her when ever we are out of town thanks again Karissa

Schedule
I have a full-time job in Fargo and have one dog of my own. I care for pets as a side hustle because I enjoy doing it. I do my best to be flexible with the owner's schedule and I'm happy to communicate more about this during a meet-and-greet.

- To ensure that everything can go off without a hitch, I do require a meet-up before a new client booking can be finalized. I will always ask a number of questions during this meet-up, but it will include things like asking about medications & dosages, if there are any allergies to be aware of, any fears your pet may have or quirks about your pet(s), etc. Making sure the pet(s) feel happy and comfortable with me is paramount.
