Dog gone walking

Hi, I’m Karina. I’m fun, energetic and love to cuddle just like your pup! I’ve grown up around all sorts of animals, but by far my favorite were all the dogs we owned. I’ve had small cuddly dogs like maltipoos and little terrier mixes to large golden retrievers and springer spaniel border collie mixes. For the last 3 years I worked full-time with Bonehemian Wags, the premium dog care company based in Sebastopol. I specialized in pack walking, training and socialization, so there’s no need to worry that your beloved family member is in the right hands! I love to adventure and take my own two dogs out on long hikes or to the beach. My younger dog is a German short-haired pointer. If you don't know of the breed, they are full of energy...CONSTANTLY. You can be sure if your pup comes to stay with us, they will leave tired. Whether we go on a hike, take them into town with us for some socialization or explore our property here, they will not be bored. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions/concerns. I am already engaging and exercising our own dogs daily, so having yours tag along only adds to the fun. I have my two large dogs who are very friendly and obedient, so no bad behaviors will be passed on here. Our older dog tends to keep to himself but our younger gsp loves to make new friends and has yet to fail to convince another pup they won't have a good time playing together. Although my dogs are off leash most of the time, they are well trained in leash walking as well, which is a great way to introduce your dog to mine. We love to have fun and be silly around here, but above all like to keep our dogs safe. After all they are family!

Karina is such a loving and kind person, I wouldn't want anyone else taking care of my pup! She has watched my dog, Yuki, a handful of times while I have traveled away from home. Yuki is a super energetic dog so it was important for me to find someone who could help use up her energy! Karina is such a good match! Karina often takes her to the beach to get play time and all the sniffs and gives her love before bed! I love coming home to see Yuki so happy and content in Karina's care!!

If you are looking for animal loving, energetic, and kind, Karina is your girl. I wouldn’t hesitate to have her care for my animals, wether it be daily walks or in home pet sitting, she is more then capable to do the job!

Karina has always had a love for animals. Her kindergarten field trip consisted of going to the local pet hospital. We adopted her first kitty that day and had her for 20 years. In elementary school Karina wrote an essay for the local animal shelter about her love for them and she won a $50 savings bond and publishment in the local paper. Karina was attending college for nursing as she really wants to make a difference in life and the lives of others. I have always felt that she needed to work with fur babies not people and I’m thinking now that she may follow that internal passion I know she has inside. This opportunity would be opening that door for her and offer her fulfillment in her passion to make a difference.

Pets

A typical day

My dogs get a daily leash walk almost first thing in the morning so we can be sure it happens. Sometimes throughout the day we’ll play fetch for a bit or work to engage the dogs mentally by learning new tricks, practicing duration training or even working on proper leash training. The possibilities are endless.
