The goal is to keep the pet’s routine as normal as possible. Follow the owner’s instructions closely, feeding times, portion sizes, walks, medications, and any special care. Spend quality time with the pet so they don’t feel lonely, and keep the home also respect the client’s space, lock up securely, and give updates (texts/photos) so they feel reassured.
