Come bark with us at Barkhamsted!;) Hi and thank you for your interest in my profile! I provide dog/cat sitting, at-home care, feeding, and walking services to your beloved pet. He/ she will get the best attention and much-needed TLC guaranteed:). I grew up with pets, became a first-time dog mom in 2004, and dog-sat for some of my friends when they were on vacation, therefore as you can see I have the necessary experience needed to care for your baby. If you want me to videotape our time together or take pictures/send texts- it could absolutely be done, no problem. With an animal lover like me, you will never have to worry about anything. As an added bonus-I hold a pet CPR/First Aid certificate from the American Red Cross. Besides taking care of dogs and cats, my husband Jared can also take care of horses, cows, pigs, and chickens since he grew up on the farm, and he knows his way around farm animals!:)

Karina was great! Our 8 month old golden retriever stayed with her for a week and everything went perfect. Karina and Jared are very thoughtful and safe with introducing any other dogs that she is boarding. The fenced in yard is also so nice to allow great outdoor playtime! Karina is a great communicator. We have needed to extend our puppies stay with her due to travel plans and she made it very easy!
Jared did an amazing job with our dogs. We got constant updates and knew they were being well cared for. The communication right from the beginning was top notch. We will definitely use Karina and Jared again!

Schedule
I mostly work from home, so boarding and daycare services fit my schedule the best and my husband Jared does housesitting for those clients who prefer to stay in their own environment. For my boarding and daycare clients: I have a fully fenced in yard for running around, and having a great time! *Important information for the first-time clients: I don’t do meet and greets for boarding and daycare, because it doesn’t give me enough info about a client so I will have to either keep them for a whole day (if you want daycare services) or one trial night if you plan to leave your munchkin with me for 3 nights or more). Please note that I might need a week/few weeks' notice before any boarding happens since I need to schedule a trial boarding for each potential guest. While I can occasionally accommodate last-minute requests, it is best to contact me at least a week in advance since I might not be available for your chosen dates. Also, I have a policy on drop-off/pick-up times: please note that all first-time clients preferably have to schedule their dog’s drop-off in the evening between 6:30-8:00 pm and pick up times vary on a client-to-client basis. No morning drop-offs/pick ups please (especially on the weekends) as I have other commitments besides doggy-sitting, and weekends’ mornings are for us to rest, so the earliest drop off for Sat/Sun is 12:30 pm. Make sure you pick up your pooch no later than 8:00 pm cos my husband gets up to go to work very early, so he can't be disturbed by late pickups. If you do pick up later than 8:00 pm, I will have to charge you an inconvenience fee which is based on how late you are. Thank you for understanding.

Safety, trust & environment
Food/water bowls, guest crates, blankets/dog beds and yummy treats are supplied, but if you want to bring your bowls and treats-no problem (just as long as they are indestructible like stainless steel or silicone). I don’t accept outside blankets/dog beds since my husband is allergic to some detergents, so I wash ours with an allergen-free detergent. For my dog-walking clients: I can bring some yumminess with me and we'll sure have a good time bonding!

A typical day
We can play in my fenced-in yard with your pet’s favorite toy, can arrange for some group play if I have more than 1 boarder present (and everybody’s friendly towards each other ) as well as have fun in my house playing, and receiving unlimited TLC!😊 Do not hesitate to contact me!
