Hi, I'm Karin! I'm an animal lover through and through. After saying goodbye to my two beloved dogs, Ziggy Stardust and Farrah Fawcett, in late spring, I'm now an empty nester with even more love to give the animals I care for. I'm a part-time teacher who now does pet sitting full time, and there's nothing I enjoy more than getting to know each animal's unique personality. I've fostered cats and dogs, cared for reptiles and fish (snakes have a special place in my heart!), and have years of experience looking after friends', family members', and clients' animals. Growing up, my home was always full of dogs and cats, many of whom we fostered or rescued, so caring for animals has always been second nature. As a bonus, I love photography and will happily capture a few great photos of your furry family member if the moment's right. 💖

Karin was great with my dog River! She sent updates and photos each day and River looked so happy in all of them. I had no stress knowing River was well taken care of. Will definitely have her watch him again.
Karin was so awesome staying at our place with our pup Sammy. He has separation anxiety and typically takes a while to warm up to someone new but Sammy had no problem getting close with Karin right away! Would definitely recommend Karin for your next house sit / board etc!
Karin was the one of the best sitters we've had. We could tell that Leia was genuinely happy (perhaps happier than at home). Leia had beach walks, doggy playdates, regular photo and video updates! We couldn't have asked for more!
My dog had a lovely vacation with Karin. She sent plenty of pictures showing us how much fun he was having and how much love he was getting that it made our vacation that much better. He absolutely adores her.
Karin did great watching our dogs again. They were very well taken care of while we were gone and we will continue to re-book!

Schedule
I’m a part-time school teacher, so I’m free most afternoons, evenings, and fully available on weekends and during school holidays/breaks. From June through August, while on summer break, I offer Rover care full time.

I live in a cozy townhouse without a yard, but there are plenty of safe neighborhood paths and nearby parks with grass for walks and playtime. Inside, my home is pet-friendly—my own dogs are welcome on the furniture and bed—but I will always respect and follow your rules for your pets. I keep a clean, safe environment and make sure pets are never left unsupervised for long. I’m mindful of routines (feeding, potty breaks, medications if needed) and do my best to help your pet feel right at home. Whether it’s snuggle time on the couch, playtime with toys, or a peaceful nap spot, your furry friend will feel comfortable and cared for with me.

A typical day
I love staying active and will happily take your dog on runs, hikes, or long walks—whatever helps them burn off energy and feel their best. If your pup prefers a slower pace, I’m just as happy to relax, play, or keep them company at home. Living right next to several parks, I enjoy exploring new spots with the dogs, giving them fresh scenery and plenty of sniffs. And of course, no day is complete without lots of cuddles, love, and attention. 🐾

- I’m happy to care for all breeds and personalities, whether dogs or cats! For dogs, it’s helpful to know their temperament and how they get along with other pets—my two small, friendly pups will be at home during boarding. For both dogs and cats, please share details about their routines, exercise needs, feeding schedule, medications, and any special instructions or quirks. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy while in my care.
