Pro auntie to all the fur babies
I grew up with dogs since I was a baby and been in love with them ever since. My first job was a kennel worker where I trained to walk, feed, medicate, bathe, and maintain a clean and safe environment for the dogs and cats that boarded with us. Which led to my following opportunities at dog and cat care facilities and gigs. In my experience, I developed basic training and handling skills, and patience. And the thing that I love most about pet care is getting to provide love and care and a safe environment for the fur babies.

Safety, trust & environment
I like to build trust with dogs and cats, especially when I'm entering their home. I enter the spaces calmly and assertively to avoid escalating any nervous behavior. I provide treats when allowed, scratches when accepted, and playtime in appropriate locations. My goal is to always provide a calm demeanor, reward positive behaviors, and be patient and compassionate with them.
Ratings and reviews
Kari was wonderful. Our cat can be particular about people and she warmed up to Kari very quickly, since she was being attended to so well. I love how she talked to Kibs, payed attention to her litterbox and eating habits and did all the extra little things to keep her routine in place. I'm confident our cat had a nice time on our trip. All the rover cards were very detailed.
Kari is amazing with our dog Rue, and not only does she love dogs --- she is also a reliable human and good communicator. Have had the pleasure of knowing Kari or 3 years now and trust her on many levels, including with my fur baby! Your pup is surely in good hands with her.
Kari is an amazing human and my pets sense that! They absolutely adore her. I don't trust many people to care for my large breed dog. But I trust Kari 100%. She is kind, listens and follows all of my crazy instructions, and genuinely loves my dogs nearly as much as I do. I highly recommend!
Kari is not only a dog lover but dogs LOVE her! She is highly responsible, takes direction and follows through. I cant reccomend her highly enough.

Schedule
My days are filled with sitting doggies and kitties, occasional catering gigs that run 6 to 8 hours, and performing in the evenings. Because pet care is built around the rest of my schedule rather than squeezed in around a 9-to-5, I'm usually able to offer care throughout the week. I tend to be free on holiday weekends and will always block out full days when I'm not available. For housesitting, I'm a good fit if you don't mind me stepping away for about 3 to 4 hours in the event of a small scheduling conflict.
