Dogs have been part of my life forever, from growing up with a variety of breeds and sizes in my family to now caring for my own rescue yellow lab. I love caring for dogs at all ages, whether it's puppies full of energy or senior dogs who need extra TLC. I handle walks, potty breaks, feeding, brushing, baths, giving medication (pill form) and both indoor and outdoor stimulation activities. I've completed obedience 1 training and enjoy practicing commands like name recognition, sit, stay, lay down, drop it, leave it, and leash walking. I can lift 60lbs if needed and make sure every dog feels loved, entertained, and truly at home while their humans are away. Friends and family always ask me to watch their dogs because they know I'll give them love, attention, and safe, happy care - and I'm excited to extend that same care to more dogs and their family in my community through Rover. *Please note that I will require for my dog to come with me for any stays - she is an 8 year old yellow lab that is very laid back and gets along with all dogs. I am more than happy to set up a meet and greet with her in advance*

Kari is great with our Ruby, a German Wire Hair! She is very attentive to Ruby’s needs and communicates well while we are gone. We are having her watch Ruby at our house for the third year in a row. I trust her whole heartedly🐾
Kari is great with dogs. We have two rescue dogs and she’s been instrumental in getting them comfortable with people. She takes the time to crouch down and pet them whenever she sees them. The dogs are definately excited when she comes to visit. Her dog Lucy is an absolute sweetheart and very gentle around little ones and gets along with other dogs. When she watches the dogs for us she loves them up and always takes them on walks (walking three dogs at a time). She would be a welcomed dog sitter for any pet.

Schedule
I work remotely full-time which provides an abundance of flexibility to attentively care for dogs during the day and evenings. My schedule includes Zoom call meetings and phone calls that are sporadic during each day - no two days are the same. With this flexibility, my pet care typically looks like letting the dog out for potty breaks every few hours, feeding twice per day, taking daily walk, observing and correcting behavior that occurs during the day (ex. barking, potty training, chewing) and of course the frequent pets, belly rubs, and playtime sprinkled in between meetings and work calls.
