Because we homeschool, our schedule is very flexible. We do like to spend a few days a week off on adventures with our own dog but we have plenty of time left to take care of other pets.

I ask a lot of questions! I want to know about your house rules so that I can abide by them while you’re away. I want to know about your pets’ personalities so that I can give them care that is matched to their needs. And, I want to know how you interact with your pets so that they feel safe. With animals, consistency means comfort!
A typical day
Aside from having all basic needs thoroughly met, your pets will receive tons of affection, lots of kindness and patience (particularly if anxious, elderly, or special needs), plenty of playtime, brushing (if requested), and whatever else we decide together is needed to make your pet as happy as possible.

Pet care experience
I have taken care of pets and small farm animals for most of my life. Along with my two homeschooled children, I provide care for dogs and cats of all ages, small animals, chickens and rabbits and more. My kids are exceptionally responsible and also well-versed in pet care. They love to give furry friends caring and attention! I am also a natural healthcare provider for humans but have training in natural healthcare for animals, as well.

Kari was a phenomenal house/dog sitter! Communication with her was timely, accurate and succinct both by text and in person. On her home visit with us she connected very quickly with our 3 and a half year old dog who has so much energy! She was able to meet all of his energy and attention needs. She sent texts and pictures while we were gone. Our dog could be seen gazing into Kari's eyes with adoration.. So cute!! Our home was well cared for, clean and neat upon our return. Kari picked our mail as well. I would recommend her without reservation!!
We have two cats and Kari has been a wonderful, caring pet sitter. She arrived on time and was very conscientious about following all the information we provided as to feeding, care and schedules, etc. She truly went beyond in many areas and spent time playing with the cats. She kept us advised of what was happening and asked appropriate questions. We highly recommend her and have used her services many times.
We’ve been lucky enough to hire Kari over the last four years, to care for our animals while we vacationed. She is the utmost professional and she always sends pictures and updates. You can tell she is a true animal person and connects with them while we are gone. This has greatly reduced our pets stress while they handle our absence, which in turn has allowed us to relax and enjoy our time away. I cannot recommend Kari enough!!
