I bring more than 35 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, and I understand that every pet has a different personality, routine, and comfort level. I take time to get to know each pet and tailor my care to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. I meet each pet where they are and follow their pace. That might mean a brisk walk, or jog, a game of fetch, active play and plenty of exercise, or enrichment with a puzzle, tug-of-war. It might mean a leisurely stroll, time to sniff and explore, or quiet companionship. I’m just as happy engaging with an energetic dog as I am spending unhurried time with a more reserved or senior pet. I have worked with many dogs with separation anxiety and understand that some animals need an especially gentle, patient presence and handling. I will gladly work with you to earn your animal’s trust so they feel safe and cared for in your absence. I have experience administering medications, following detailed feeding and care routines, accommodating dietary restrictions, and caring for pets who need a little extra patience or reassurance. I’m also experienced and comfortable caring for giant breeds, including Mastiffs, as well as puppies, including helping them learn good leash skills and walking manners. Whether your cat wants interactive playtime, companionship and cuddles, or simply a calm, respectful presence nearby, I follow their lead. Most importantly, I’m attentive, dependable, and genuinely invested in the animals in my care. I’ve treated pets as family my entire life, and that is exactly how I care for yours.

Routine Consistency: I strictly follow your instructions regarding feeding, exercise, and bathroom schedules to maintain your pet's normal routine. Tidy Spaces: I maintain a clean environment, promptly cleaning up any pet messes and keeping litter boxes spotless daily. Pet Safety & Well-being Constant Supervision: Pets are never left unattended in unsecured areas or around unfamiliar animals. Medication Safety: All medications and supplements are tracked closely, administered precisely on schedule, and stored safely. Anxiety Management: I use a calm, patient approach to comfort anxious pets and help them feel safe while you are away. Open Communication: You will receive regular photo updates and text check-ins so you always know your pet is comfortable and thriving.

Kari is detail oriented and takes time to follow all daily care instructions. Kari was in communication with us through our entire trip so we knew what was happening with the dogs and our home. She took great care of our home leaving it spotless when she left.
Kari took care of our dog and our elderly cat while we went away for the weekend. She was great. It was easy to work with her. She took great care of our pets and kept us updated with photos. She was great about setting up her arrival and departure times and we came home to a clean, tidy house. We would recommend her highly and we would love to have her come and stay with our pets again.

How Pet Care Fits Into My Routine: I have a flexible schedule and plenty of dedicated time to focus entirely on your pets! Because my routine revolves around animal care, I can easily accommodate specific feeding, walking, and medication times to match your pet's routine. House Sitting: Full-time availability to stay at your home and keep your pets safe and comfortable. Dog Walking: Flexible booking windows throughout the day for active walks or quick relief breaks. Daycare: Perfect for pets needing daytime companionship, play, and regular potty breaks. Note: I am currently focusing on care outside of my home and am taking a break from hosting boarding services.
