I've been around dogs my entire life and have hands-on experience caring for a wide range of breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. I've also fostered dogs, which has given me experience helping dogs adjust to new environments and routines with patience and consistency. I'm very active and enjoy long walks, so I'm well-suited for dogs that need regular exercise and engagement. I'm also highly detail-oriented and organized, so I closely follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any specific care routines your dog needs. Professionally, I work as a program coordinator in a day program serving adults with special needs. This role has strengthened my reliability, communication skills, and ability to stay calm, attentive, and responsive in all situations. You can expect clear updates, consistency, and a high level of care every time I'm with your dog!

I’m unable to care for dogs at my current residence unfortunately but I’m very trustworthy and respectful of other people’s homes! As a previous dog owner, I know the importance of routine and familiarity and have found that dogs are much more comfortable staying in their environment when their human(s) are away than they are staying in a new place. I strive to help them maintain that routine and comfort!

Kari was amazing watching our puppy. She sent photos and detailed updates, and took care of our puppy exactly as instructed (maybe even better!). She was respectful of our home and left it the same as when she arrived. Would absolutely have Kari stay at our house to dog sit again.
Kari did a wonderful job caring for our dog, Butters! She took care of his medical needs and was very good at communication, providing us routine updates and photos. She also left the house clean, which was greatly appreciated. We would be happy to have Kari back to help us out in the future and highly recommend her!
Kari is my go-to sitter because she is incredibly reliable, consistent, and so loving with my high-energy, anxious fur baby. When I first told her he is new to socializing (rescue pup), she gave me reassurance that she would pay close attention to surroundings and avoid any potential conflicts. When he needed medication, she stepped up without hesitation and followed every dose exactly, always reaching out right away if she had any questions. She consistently sends updates and shares their trail adventures, which gives me so much peace of mind. Every time I pick him up, he sleeps the entire next day from all the fun and excitement he had with Kari. I highly recommend her!
Kari is an exceptional sitter and has watched my pets (2 cats, 1 dog) many times. She treats them like she would her own and I trust her to stay at my home overnight as well. I have a Malamute who loves walks and exercise and she is always down for an adventure whether it's a beach trip or a walk around the neighborhood. She is also great at keeping me updated and sends me cute photos of them while I'm away! Kari is the best!
I’ve known Kari for a long time and she’s one of the best dog moms and most responsible people I know! She’s watched my pets in the past and I’d trust her to do it again anytime. She’s always very prompt with response time and scheduling.
Kari has been fantastic with my Golden Retriever, Wilson. She’s always on time, communicates clearly, and brings a calm, reassuring presence that Wilson immediately settles into. It’s clear she puts real care and attention into every walk. There’s a genuine thoughtfulness in how she does things that really stands out. I have complete confidence in her and highly recommend her.

Schedule
My work schedule is 7am-2:30/3pm Mon-Fri in Portland. I’m an early riser and can do early walks or afternoon/evening walks!
