I love Houston and am blessed to call it home. Growing up with everything from Labrador Retrievers and Weimaraners (the Sesame Street dog) to our family "lap dog" I understand and appreciate both smart, high energy dogs who love family's and are highly active and the cute little puppy who just wants to warm your lap while being petted. I love to get my steps in and find myself walking multiple times a day either down the street or at Memorial Park -- located right across the street. I've found the best way to help a dog enjoy their stay is to take them for a walk outside and let them get their sniffs in while having exercise. I find dogs who have regular exercise are less destructive when at home, sleep better, and are more attentive to obedience training.
