Let me know if your dog has any special needs. We are pretty good at helping dogs adjust to being away from their family and getting them to feel safe. Even very anxious dogs tends to remember us and get excited about coming back a 2nd time.
A typical day
We will walk to a large nearby park or stroll around the neighborhood. In the house and backyard we will play tug of war and chase a tennis ball. I work on my computer most of the day and love to have a companion nearby for frequent petting breaks. I've even put small dogs in a dog bed on my desk if they need to be close by to get maximum attention while I'm working and in zoom meetings.

Pet care experience
I had big dogs growing up and have also had very small dogs. I had an amazing Corgi named Luna for 14.5 years. She was my best friend and constant companion. She developed cancer and crossed the Rainbow Bridge recently. My son boarded a dog and it was great having a dog around again so it gave me the idea to board dogs while he is at college. I work from home full-time and have a very flexible schedule. I'm available 24/7 to lovingly care for your cherished pet. I have a son at college and a son that is a high school senior at home. I live in a single family house and have a fenced back yard. There is a pool in the backyard and a small grassy area. There is a large park nearby and the neighborhood is great for long walks. I love to throw balls for dogs, especially if they bring them back ;-) We now have a corgi/blue heeler mix named Astro. He is my shadow. He loves having other dogs here and is super friendly.

Karen and her family were absolutely amazing! I think she must have the patience of a saint because my dog is a handful and he absolutely loved spending time with her and became fond of her very quickly, which is unlike him. Karen made me feel at ease with great communication and updates while Winston was in her care. I truly knew he was in great hands!
Arthur and Henry had a great time at Karen’s! They take some time to adjust to a new place, but Karen is so great about making them feel comfortable. Astro is also so sweet, and seemed to help Arthur and Henry adjust
Karen did a great job taking care of Paxton and reassuring us that he was adjusting well to her home on his first stay. Her home is dog friendly and cozy. We look forward to having Paxton stay at Karen’s again!
Oliver had a month-long stay with Karen and her family over the holidays, and they took amazing care of him!
