I’m a retired teacher and lifelong animal lover. Caring for dogs truly brings me joy, and I treat every pet in my home as if they were my own. My 12 year old awesome Alley crossed the rainbow bridge and she is missed greatly. Pet sitting helps as I love dogs and I no longer have a dog at this time. My home is a safe, clean, smoke-free environment with a fully fenced yard and courtyard—perfect for small dogs to relax, play, and feel at home. I live in a quiet, established safe neighborhood which has many streets with little traffic so nice and quiet for walking dogs. I also have a stroller for dogs that no longer walk but like to go outside for a stroll. I specialize in caring for small dogs. First time to book with Rover you will receive $20 off. I will provide an engaging environment and will give each dog plenty of individual attention, affection , and supervision. I’m home most of the time, so your dog will have consistent care, companionship, and regular potty breaks throughout the day. I will follow your dog’s routine as closely as possible—whether that’s feeding schedules, sleep habits, or special care instructions. I maintain a limited number of spots to ensure each dog receives attentive, high-quality care. If you travel I have experience keeping dogs for long periods. I also provide daycare with extended hours if needed. The more I know about your pet, the better I can care for them. I’m happy to communicate through Rover and / or meet in advance for a meet and greet so you feel completely comfortable booking with me. Karen is a fantastic dog sitter! Our 12-year-old, deaf chihuahua mix was so, so happy to stay with her. She sends updates and photos daily so you never have to wonder how your fur baby is doing. She took our dog on two walks a day, spent time outside with her, and made sure she ate (she is a very finicky eater, so that’s always a concern of mine). We will definitely be back! 😊
We had a wonderful experience with Karen. This was our first experience using Rover and Karen set the bar pretty high. She kept us updated with pictures and videos while we were away and made us feel like Tito was in great hands. She asked a ton of questions about our dogs habits, personality and routine during the meet and greet and helped us understand what we should bring to make sure he was comfortable while we were away. Tito was very comfortable around her and we would definitely leave Tito with Karen again.
Thank you for taking such great care of Luke and Leia. This last trip was the longest we’ve been away from them, so we appreciated all the pictures and updates. They love spending time with you.

Karen was such an amazing dog sitter for our pup. We recently adopted Piper and were nervous to leave her for our trip but Karen provided a comfortable, loving and welcoming environment for our girl. We recieved regular updates and photos/videos of how she was doing throughout the stay and would definitely recommend Karen to friends and family, and trust her with our girl for future trips when we need a dogsitter. 10/10 would book again, thank you Karen!

Schedule
I’m retired and usually available most days. I can work with most schedules and potty breaks are not a problem. I prefer advanced notice but can work with last minute as well.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard. I also have several gates in my house to make sure they are safe from going upstairs or out the front door when anyone comes in. I provide whatever schedule your dog(s) needs. The more I know about your dog the better I can care for him/her. Meet and greets are great but if not available we can communicate on Rover so I will know what to expect as far as eating, sleeping, any health concerns, your fur babies likes and dislikes, activities your dog enjoys, how your pet interacts with other dogs and people on walks, etc.
A typical day
I can provide walks twice a day or as needed, lap time, petting, play time with balls or other toys you bring or that I have. l will give lots of love and attention as needed to make your pet feel safe, secure, happy, and comfortable. I play relaxing music during their quiet time or whatever music they like if your fur baby enjoys music.
