If I had to describe Karen around dogs, I’d say she has a ridiculous amount of love to give them — and Archie was the absolute proof of that. Archie wasn’t just her dog; he was her companion, her shadow and a huge part of her life. She adored him, and the care and attention she gave him was never something she had to think about — it was just who she was. She knew his little quirks, his routines, what he liked, what he didn’t, and somehow always seemed to know what he needed. Sadly, Archie passed away in April, and I know how much she misses him. She isn’t quite ready to have another dog of her own, but she really does miss having a dog around. So when she decided to use Rover, it made perfect sense to me. Anyone leaving their dog with Karen would be leaving them with someone who genuinely cares. She’ll fuss over them, talk to them, spoil them, make sure they’re happy and comfortable. Most importantly, she understands that every dog is different. She’ll respect their routines, their boundaries and their individual personalities, while giving them all the love and attention they could possibly want. Archie was very lucky to have Karen. I think any dog staying with her will be pretty lucky too.
