Hey there, call me Kit!* 😁 I have loved animals my entire life and would be delighted to care for yours! I have been dog-walking and petsitting with Rover for over 6 years and have cared for animals since I was very young. I grew up with a collective four dogs and seven cats over the years. Now in my late twenties, I share three cats with my lovely partner. Pet care is very fulfilling for me because nurturing and playing with animals fills me with joy! I LOVE caring for dogs since I don’t have one of my own (yet 😉), and I adore cats—I have cared for newborn kittens, senior cats, and everything in between.🐱❤️ I am most experienced with cats and dogs, with some bird and rodent experience, but I love all animals and would gladly learn to look after any creature. Zoo volunteer work has led me to care for a variety of animals, including goats, rabbits, reptiles, and even bears. I also have medical experience with birds and mammals from a 6-month internship with Wildlife Care Association, a Sacramento-based wildlife rehab center, in summer 2021. I would be honored to care for your dog, cat, or any other pet! 🐾 *Karen is my legal first name, but my preferred/lived name is Kit. I’m unable to change my name on Rover at this time. Safety, trust & environment
When pet sitting, whether overnight or just a drop-in visit, I always treat my client’s home with utmost respect, and leave the home in the same (or better) condition than I found it. I strive to keep the pet(s)’ routine the same as when their owners are home as best as I can. 🏡 Safety is always my top priority. I pay close attention to pets’ behavior and body language to avoid any conflict long before it happens. On top of the Rover Guarantee, I also am covered by business insurance through Pet Care Insurance, Inc., so if a very rare accident were to happen under my care, I’ll make sure any vet bills are reimbursed. I also send photo and text updates at least once daily during house sittings. You can rest easy knowing I take thorough, meticulous steps to make sure your pet is as safe, healthy, and happy as can be.

Kit is a professional caregiver! Follows directions and takes exceptional care of pets. Our pets were obviously well cared for when we returned as was our home. Our pets rarely feel as secure as they did in the care of this sitter based on their behavior when we returned. Will book again without questions!!

Kit was so amazing with our 3 cats while we were away. We received thoughtful updates and pictures everyday. They handled our separation concerns between our aggressive cats with ease and was so patient with our more shy guy to be able coax him out to make sure he was given love and attention. We were so relieved to know our fur babies were in such good care.

Schedule
Pet care is my main focus, and has been for the past several years. Aside from other local pet visits during the day, my only commitments are on a flexible work-from-home or volunteer schedule. Your pets are the star of my show! I’m lucky that I can easily work my schedule around my furry clients’ needs. Unless otherwise stated by a pet’s owner, I will only leave pets home alone for a maximum of 4 hours at a time, and no more than 8 total hours in a day.
