In my baby book, at 6 months, it says, "Loves animals." And that has been the story of my life. I devoted my entire career to animal protection, receiving plenty of hands-on experience, and along the way, I was mom to 12 dogs, three cats, four mice, and a hamster (as well as fostering four additional dogs). They presented me with many challenges over the years (everything from torn ACLs and abscesses to heart problems and thunderstorm anxiety) and I always went the extra mile to help my animals overcome their problems and heal or at least stay comfortable. My years of experience have taught me a lot about animal health as well as humane dog training, and dogs tend to love me. (So do cats.) In addition to loving animals, I respect them as individuals, each with their own personalities and needs. You can count on me to treat them right.

Karen was amazing with watching our pups and cat while we were out of town for 12 days. She was very communicative with multiple updates and pictures throughout the day. Karen also helped keeping an eye and taking care of things around the house to make sure everything is good while we were away. Karen was absolutely the best dog sitter and house sitter. We were overseas for 10 days and our blind dog is very averse to strangers. She came over a couple of times so he could get used to her. Her calm presence and gentle manner immediately put him at ease. He's very barky but she remained perfectly calm. He warmed up fast and they were best buddies soon after we left. Notably, Karen also took amazing care of our house - watering plants, filling the bird feeders, taking out trash, and leaving our place perfectly clean. She provided our special needs dog with exactly the kind of caring, loving, calm environment that he needed while we were gone and provided us with the peace of mind that we needed to enjoy our vacation. Karen gets our highest recommendation to anyone considering her for pet/house sitting.
Karen is an amazing pet sitter!! She took wonderful care of our energetic pup while we were on vacation! She kept us informed with lots of photos, videos, and detailed updates. Karen was incredibly caring and attentive to his needs and safety, making sure he got plenty of belly rubs, cuddles, playtime, and exercise. She also took excellent care of our home, and left everything perfectly clean and tidy. We were truly able to enjoy our vacation, knowing our pup was in such great hands. We would love to have Karen watch our pup again in the future, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dedicated, caring pet sitter!!
Karen stayed at our home and took care of our dog and two cats while we were on vacation. She has extensive experience with pets. She took great care of ours - including medication and special dietary needs. She also provided periodic photo updates. We will definitely be using her again. Highly recommend!
I can't think of anyone who I would trust more with my animals than Karen. I have known her for 30 years and have seen firsthand how devoted she is to ensuring the well-being of the animals in her care. Karen is extremely detail-oriented and will follow your instructions to the letter. Whether your animal requires a special diet, medications, any unusual routines, etc., you can trust Karen to make sure all his/her needs are met. She goes above and beyond to make animals feel happy and loved.
Karen is a fantastic dog sitter! She absolutely loves animals. She stayed with our medium & large dogs sending updates & photos/videos daily. She was fully prepared in advance with list of questions & spent a little time with them before we left - very much a detailed, forward thinker. We had complete trust & confidence with Karen at our house. Upon return, the dogs were happy to see us but we could tell they missed her. I also learned a few things about dogs because of her knowledge and experience working with dogs previously. We and our dogs look forward to Karen staying with the girls again in the near future. She is conscientious and truly cares about all animals.

Schedule
I can devote myself full-time, 24/7 to your animals while you're away. I may have an occasional brief appointment but no other regular obligations. You will get lots of updates, including numerous photos and videos of your animals' activities on a daily basis.

Safety, trust & environment
I will keep your animals company 24/7 and care for them according to your instructions. I'll give them plenty of attention and affection and try to make them as happy as possible, attending to all their needs. Please note that with the exception of small or elderly dogs, I don't offer dog-walking, so ideally, your dogs would have a fenced-in yard to exercise in or you would have animals who don't need to go outside. Also, I don't sit for dogs of fighting breeds or put dogs in crates. Besides caring for your animals, I'll take good care of your home, watering plants, taking out the trash and recycling--whatever you need done while you're away.
A typical day
This will depend on your instructions and your animals' preferences. I love all animals, so it will come naturally for me to engage them in any activities that they enjoy. For cats boarded at my three-story townhouse, they will find that they have plenty of room to explore and play and lots of cozy places to nap and snuggle. I also have a catio that is very popular among the kitties.
