I am self-employed and make my own schedule, so I’m busy, but flexible with enough notice or if there is a gap in my schedule. I have a big and friendly dog of my own who would want to stay with me if you require overnight dog or cat sitting, depending on how far you are from our home.

My end-unit townhome backs up to the retention pond. I can see the walking trail that backs up to the forest from my deck. My small fenced in backyard opens up to a wheelchair accessible paver path. So ideal for older pets who need less/no stairs. I’ve cared for many elderly animals.

What are your expectations and your pup’s specific needs and likes? Anything you want to be sure they have or something you want to work on with them? If we hike near forested areas, can I administer a natural, pet friendly insect repellent?

I live close to two dog parks, but a lot of trial space in the area, so mostly leashed activities other than running around in the tiny back yard or on large the top deck. We cover a lot of area on most walks, will hike in natural areas if there is time, but can adapt to the age, size, ability of your pup, and your comfortability.

I use Reiki and massage when animals and their humans are accepting of it. My rates are built to service a wider geographical area. Please ask about lower rates for care needed close to my home, or other existing clients. I grew up with many cats (over many years), and a dog. We had several dogs in the neighborhood I would help and visit with, and have experience with horses and other animals of air, land and sea. I’ve been caring for dogs, cats and horses professionally for about 25 years.

We were very lucky to have Karen care for our newly blind senior dog while we traveled for the holiday. We were put at ease leaving her since we knew Karen was giving her lots of attention & staying on top of all of her medications. We appreciated the detailed updates & cute pictures, too!
It was very impressed with Karen who was walking my hundred pound doofus dog. She has been both a day walker and somebody who has sat with my dog bo. She sends a lot of pictures and gives me very updated information including his diet and eating habits. Highly recommend her services.

Karen was outstanding with our two dogs while we weee away. She kept us updated on a regular basis and sent occasional pictures. I highly recommend her and look forward to using her again!
