K's Family Dog Retreat
Knowing that your dogs are in good care while you travel is important, and I am committed to providing you peace of mind. I have owned and taken care of energetic puppies to senior dogs across breeds of all sizes, and have a special place in my heart for senior dogs in their frosted years. I am skilled in administering medications and handling any necessary clean up with care and attention. As a homeschool family, I am home during the day, aside from weekly activities and errands. With our flexible schedule, when hosting your dog, I would not be away more than 2-4 hours. This allows me to provide personalized care and consistent attention to your pets. We use gates in our multi-level home to keep your dog on the same level as us. Their crate will be placed in the entryway, near our family room and kitchen, so they’ll feel included and close to our family. While our yard is unfenced, it backs up to undeveloped city land. We also have dog tie-out stakes in both the front and back yards, providing a secure way for your dog to enjoy the outdoors safely. My family, including our three elementary-age daughters, would love to spend time with your fur babies. I can walk your dog around the neighborhood or take them on a fun outing to the park with your permission. Whether your dogs enjoy endless cuddles, interactive playtime, or prefer their own space, we’ll follow their lead to ensure they feel safe and comfortable during their stay in our home. I’d love to know your dog’s preferred routine, habits, and any special quirks to ensure a positive experience. If your dog has any anxious tendencies or behavioral concerns, please share those details so I can provide the best care possible. With your provided care instructions and schedule, we will strive to give your pets the love and attention they are used to, including their favorite games or activities. To keep you connected, I will send you daily photos and updates, so you can relax and enjoy your time away without worry! I look forward to caring for your furry family members while you’re away!

Maggie was in incredible hands with Karen! Lots of walks, attention/care, and all the snuggles Maggie could handle. I also got notes and pictures about how Maggie was doing each day which helped ease my mind and trust that she was in incredible hands with Karen! Maggie had a wonderful time and we will be using Karen again the next time we need a dog sitter!
