I am a full time vet assistant at PSAH however with my time gaps I’d be more than available to take your dog outside to use the restroom and make sure to feed them. I would be happy to keep them company while I do my studies.

I have a fenced and large backyard so that your fur babies have plenty of space to run safely. If there is a crate provided in the clients home I will use it as necessary and make sure there are no open doors for them to run out.

I would like to know if your dog has a specific diet. I am very respectful when it comes to what goes in a dogs mouth. Many people are strict when it comes to human food or how often to feed a dog. I would also like to know if they have any medication I need to give them and how often. Another key thing is if the dog knows how to swim or how they react to bodies of water.
A typical day
I love to simulate dogs mentally and physically. I will practice handling them just as a vet would so that vet visits are easier. I run around with them to get them use to “good” human contact, unlike jumping on top of others or biting. When I take animals for a walk I let them take their time as long as the weather is right. I love taking dogs to parks with a big yard to run in. I am not a fan of dog parks because all animals are unpredictable and some may carry sickness’s. Most animals just need a little play time and if they run into another dog at the park I think it it perfectly fine.

I have had animals in my household since I was a baby. I got my first dog in 3rd grade and have cared for her until I left for college. I have cared for my families and neighbors dogs and cats while they are away at vacation. I have just graduated with my bachelors in Animal Science at the University of California in Davis. I have cared for newborn puppies and practiced physical exams on many animals. I have the ability to bathe, feed, walk, train, and trim dog’s nails. I’ve worked at 2 animal hospitals one in Davis and here in Palm Springs!

Karen is an animal lover, it shows in her treatment of dogs and all animals. She volunteers with Guide Dogs of America and various organizations to help animals, including the Living Desert. Her attention to dogs and care for their well being goes above and beyond, as she is always looking for what's in the best interest of the pet. I couldn't recommend her enough. She is truly an animal Samaritan and anyone would be lucky to have their pet in her care.
Karen is the best when it comes to being a loving pet caregiver she loves all animals and when she decided her career path was going to be with animals she went vegan because she didn’t want to eat what she was going to be saving. My pets love her they get excited when she sees her and I don’t think I’ve met anyone who loves and cares for animals they way Karen does.
I've known Karen all her life and I can assure you, she has always had an unconditional love for animals. She's studying to be a veterinarian and I know it's because of her care and love for animals. She has a gentle heart and will always advocate for the good of an animal. She has a desire to work with all kinds of animals because they just melt her heart. She gives all animals her undivided attention, and will take care of any pet as if it were her loved one.
