I’ve been the one that my friends and family go to when they need someone to care for their home and love their pets when they’re away! I send frequent updates of the fur-babies having a staycation with Auntie Karen. I feel like I’ve done my best when the pets miss me when I leave!

Safety, trust & environment
Keeping to a pets usual schedule is important for making them feel safe and comfortable. I will do my utmost to stick to their routine without forcing them into something unfamiliar. It can often take a few days for a pet to fully relax and that's ok! I'm there to make sure their safe and taken care. If an animal isn’t comfortable with me, I'm happy to be around as a familiar face until they’re ready for cuddle time.

I honestly don’t know what to say. I’ve never had someone watch Bruce before that wasn’t a part of our family and Karen was INCREDIBLE. I got lots of updates. She came to my house to meet Bruce and Kearn the Kay of the land before we left town. She was so kind and loving with him and spoiled him the same way we do. She stayed home with him all day and let him snuggle her at night. Bruce is a 15 year old small dog who needs medications and eye drops multiple times a day and Karen didn’t miss a beat. I would recommend her to anyone. Thank you Karen!

Schedule
I work from home and take online classes. Since I can do it all remotely, I have all the time needed to make pets feel loved.

- Some of things that would help us have a smooth drop in or visit, and keep your pets happy & healthy: Is your pet spayed/neutered and vaccinated? Are they microchipped, tattooed, or anything similar? Please leave me your vet information! What is your pet's regular schedule? Where and how do they like to spend their time? Let me know if they would like cuddles or would rather just have me talk to them from a distance. Point out their regular sleeping places and where they might hide if they are anxious or scared. What are your pets favorite toys and treats? What are behaviors that I should look out for? Let me know if there are any specific things to avoid that might make your pet scared. Is there any past or current aggressive behavior? Would your pet try to dash out the door? Are there places in the home that they're not allowed to have access to, such as counter tops of specific rooms? If your pet needs medications or supplements, please let me know in advance so we can discuss the best way to make sure your pet receives what they need. For dogs, how often are they let out to do their business, as well as how many many walks do they need a day? Let me know how your pet typically behaves on a walk. Are they aggressive/reactive to other dogs or people? If so, how do they behave and how would you like me to handle the situation. If you have a regular route, I will try to stick to that as much as possible, however I try to avoid dog parks or other areas with unknown people or animals. How long can your dog be left alone during the day? Are they crated or are they okay in the house?
