July 2726 Response re Karen Larson as a Pet Sitter Dear Rover Team, I have been friends with Karen Larson since the late 1980s from the time she came to pet sit for my 2 rescue dogs & several rescue cats on several occasions when my husband and I took holidays from our home in White Rock, BC. Those holidays would be sometimes for up to 6 weeks in length as we were travelling abroad occasionally. Karen was responsible for walking, feeding & generally keeping the dogs & cats well looked after and safe for the duration of our holiday absence. On the many occasions over the years that she was available to house & pet sit for my husband and myself, there was never an issue as to the welfare of my animals left in her care. Her care of and for the animals was exemplary ... time after time our animals would greet her as a visiting friend or as the designated pet sitter with as much enthusiasm as they greeted us each evening upon our return home from work. I have kept up my relationship with Karen Larson now as a friend since those house & pet sitting days back in the 1980s. I have recently been to her current home in Nanaimo for a visit & know that she remains utterly trustworthy and loving with all animals, including her own. I have been good friends with Karen for many years and can honestly attest to her trustworthiness, professionalism and love for dogs.
