Ever since I was a little girl there have been dogs in the house. When I was a young woman in my 20’s I worked at a wildlife rehab center in the suburbs of Chicago (Willowbrook Wildlife Haven). During my marriage I fostered dogs for 5 years and we also had our own dogs, everything from a Beagle to a Collie to Golden Retrievers. I love bird watching, love Ornithology! My love of animals has apparently rubbed off onto my kids. One daughter has two cats and one dog and my other daughter rescued her dog two years ago. The saying of “Who Rescued Who” is very true since she needed some four legged love during her college life and her dog has truly bonded with her!

Karen was so friendly and great with our husky girl for the day! She looked like she made herself right at home. She was also so good about sending lots of photos and videos!
Karen is fantastic! She’s very kind and accommodating. She took wonderful care of my doodle Mango for an entire week. Mango and her golden Archie became fast friends and Mango was definitely sad to leave. We’d love to use her again!!!!

Karen was absolutely fantastic in taking care of our pup! She provided great updates and pictures of our pup throughout her stay, had a spacious and lovely backyard for playing and sunbathing, and gave us some flexibility on day of pick-up. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter

I have a very large fenced in yard and a doggy door in the kitchen area. I love that door, my dogs just come and go and it’s great if I’m out and about for a few hours!

Of course if there is no yard then we will start out the visit with a nice walk. If no walk is needed then we will play or just be available for love and attention.
