I was active in the rescue community for 12 years, and served as Executive Director for a local animal shelter for 4 years. I fostered lots of dogs during that time, including many medical cases. Also helped 3 dogs birth pups! Jason is the one that helped me find my love of dogs with our first pup many years ago. Our goal is to give you peace of mind while you travel and provide a mini vacay for your pup! -Karen

Roxi and Brownie enjoyed their stay with Karen. The pictures provided during their stay showed two very happy dogs. During Roxi's and Brownie's stay they engaged in lots of activities both indoors and outdoors. They also enjoyed interacting with Karen's dog Stevie and the other dog which joined them all during the stay. Thank you Karen for making my dogs feel right at home when they stay with you in your home.
Karen did such a great job taking care of Truman. She had us do a previsit and made us comfortable about the space and gave us regular updates with lots of pictures.
The peace of mind that Karen & Jason give me when I must travel is so very precious to me. My Banksy has a ball and most likely feels like he’s on vacation! He’s loved, cared for and protected. I’m so thankful I have found them. It was very much worth delaying my last trip a couple days in order to get on their schedule. A very popular sitting team for your furry love.❤️

Schedule
I am a stay at home dog mom so my schedule is very flexible. When I am gone during the day, it is just for quick errands like to the store or the gym. My backyard is my "office" and I love spending time outside with the dogs. We also have a pool if your pup likes to swim. We also get walks in each morning and if your dog likes car rides, I am happy to take them on field trips to the park too! Jason is usually home after his work day and is my back up if needed in the evenings or weekends. The dogs love him just as much as they love me!!

Safety, trust & environment
When I board your dog in my home, your pup will get the same love my dogs receive. They are allowed on the furniture as we love to cuddle while watching tv. I do have a pool and will always be outside to make sure your dog is safe. My gates to the backyard are locked as safety is my first priority. I do have an oversized backyard so plenty of room to run and if your pup swims they are welcome to the pool! All dogs get a walk each day and I also love to take them on outings if allowed. We have lots of play time and outdoor time so pups sleep soundly at night.
Pets
A typical day
A typical day starts with a romp in the backyard followed by breakfast. We then go out one last time before starting walks. We are in and out throughout the day for lots of sniffing and/or play time in the yard. Of course we are cautious of the heat and do take that into consideration. Dogs are free in our home, however we do have kennels if your dog prefers their own spots. Also lots of dog beds and toys throughout our home.

- I want to know about any special needs for your pets. If you have a dog that is fearful or a runner, I need to know so I can take extra precautions. The more you can tell me about your pet the better I can service them. If your pet is boarding with me, knowing if they are house trained and kennel trained is a plus. To keep everyone safe, when I leave my home I prefer the dogs be in a kennel, including my own. I am usually not gone longer than 3 hours at a time. I do have a baby gate I can put up on a room entry as well if that works better for your pup.
