Hi! I'm an experienced animal lover and have volunteered with the Humane Society (HSHV) and Paws With A Cause. I'm currently between foster puppies (my next one arrives in the fall), and in the meantime I'd love to spend time caring for and exercising other pets. I had a Lab/Golden mix for 12 wonderful years, and I've also fostered puppies through Paws With A Cause- most recently, Rudi (a black Lab) and before that Gilli (a Golden Retriever). Gilli successfully completed the assistance program and was placed as a support dog for a veteran. I'm starting out on Rover offering drop in visits and dog walking. When caring for your pet, I take my lead from you - every animal is different, and I want to follow your routine and what your pet enjoys most, whether that's longer walks, a quick potty break, playing fetch, or just calm companionship. All animals have unique personalities, and my favorite thing is seeing them happy and comfortable. I also love cats and have two of my own, so I'm very comfortable with cat care basics (food/water, litter box cleaning, playtime and companionship). I'm happy to consider helping with a family's other pets as well and will always follow your instructions to make sure everyone is safe and well cared for.

I have known Karen for 15 years and she is my next door neighbor here in Dexter MI. She is reliable, responsible, caring and thorough in her care of people and animals! She has fostered several dogs and i see her care for them -providing safe structured routines and lots of love. Her forever dog Nila started as a Leader dog but due to Hip issues couldn't graduate through the program. Karen took Nila up to the Dexter Schools as a therapy dog and reading dog for many years. She has a deep love of animals. She has had several cats and cares for them well. She has done pet sitting for my family-both our chihuaua Lance many years ago and for past 10 years has pet sat our cats when we were out of town. When we come home they are always well cared for. She even spent extra time cuddling them. She goes above and beyond and any pet is lucky to be in her care.
Karen is always reliable and takes such great care of our dogs. She walks them & gives them lots of attention and love when we are out of town. Five star sitter and highly recommend.
