A loving family home for your pup
After owning several large dogs, I have fostered Greyhounds who have spent their whole lives in kennels. It was amazing to teach each dog how to live in a house and eventually see them go to a forever home. No dogs are too big or small, all are welcome in our home.

Karen is simply the best holiday mum any pet owner could ask for - she is a natural and cares so dearly for them, it was so lovely to see how much fun they were having together. Karen is our go to anytime we are away!

Schedule
At present I am working part-time, so can be flexible with boarding and work around your needs. Any day of the week can be accommodated for your furry family member’s care.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a tall fenced back garden, open plan house and an extra large crate if needed for your dog to make a safe den in the house. I will be guided by you if you have any particular care needs for your dog(s). I do not currently have any permanent pets in our home.
A typical day
I get up at around 6-7 or a time that suits the dog(s) we are looking after. Outside first to relieve themselves, followed by breakfast and some playtime, cuddles and attention. Next it’s walkies. I always see dog walks as the dog’s walk (and not mine), so I am happy to be guided by the dog’s lead, letting them sniff and investigate, never rushing them if they would rather take it slow (or fast). Once back at home, the dog(s) can relax whilst I potter about. I like the give the dog(s) attention, (unless they prefer to rest), playing games, training if it’s appropriate and tummy tickles if that’s their thing too throughout the day. If they love being groomed, don’t forget to send them with their favourite brush or grooming mitt.

- Where do they usually like to sleep? Do they like to socialise with other dogs? What helps them settled in unfamiliar surroundings? How long do they like to walk? Are they afraid of anything - storms, particular noises, other dogs etc? I will be guided by you and your dog(s) as to any particular instructions/requirements they may have when they come to stay. We are a tall family of four adults, so all dogs of any size are welcome and can be accommodated in our home.
