I have two cats myself, and I’ve previously had cats with health concerns, so I’m ready to give medications as needed. As an anxious cat mom myself, I know how to keep your apartment free of hazards (wires, strings, glass, open toilets). And of course I understand that cats and dogs need more than their basic food, water, walk - they need play, long walks (and runs, if you’d like!), and cuddles (if they’re comfortable with me) - ESPECIALLY when their family is out of town! I have a special knack for working with nervous kitties - I follow their lead and they set the pace, but I have a good record with getting them to play and emerge from under the bed!

I only offer care in your home, because I have two cats myself. I will read your instructions to a T (and then re-read, and re-read) so that your pets care matches exactly what you’d like for them when you aren’t home. My cats have their own quirks (only drinking out of certain cups, anyone?), so I understand the necessity of detail and always have patience for pet’s preferences and habits :)

Karen was seriously SO helpful! We’ve used her for our kitties twice now, and not only did she respond last minute when we were going out of town, but she also just took wonderful care of our cats. It was a huge relief to have her checking in on them and we can’t recommend her enough! ☺️🥰😊
Karen followed instructions very well and read up on my dog at booking. I felt she took the proper precautions for the special needs of my dog (she’s very smol- 2.5lbs). I was grateful she was available for a last minute booking and was easy to work with.
Karen took amazing care of our senior cat Randy for a week. She sent updates and photos of Randy at each visit twice a day. We let her know about Randy’s recent stomach problems and she thoughtfully called and sent a message when Randy vomited. Randy was so calm and content when we came home. We would absolutely hire Karen again.
Karen has been great with my mutt Tallulah! Even though she can be a bit sassy about which direction she wants to walk, Karen has been great about coaxing her along. Tallulah always comes back from the walk happy and engaged.
Karen was communicative, timely, and responsible. I’m ready to hire her again whenever needed!
We’re so glad we asked Karen to take care of our cats! She was responsive and great to work with, and she sent detailed updates that helped put us at ease while we were away. She even managed to make friends with our most antisocial cat, which clearly means she’s good people! Can’t wait to work with her again in the future.

Schedule
I’m currently a graduate student, so I have plenty of time during the day to visit with your pets and give them the time and care they need.

- It’s always helpful to know how dogs get along with other dogs so I know whether they can socialize while out and about. Any other safety concerns to look out for that are unique to them. It’s also helpful to know their favorite spots for walking, as well as how many poop bags are usually necessary on a given walk!
