ATTN- SCHEDULE CHANGE: I used to work from home full-time but I am now in a new phase of life and am currently a student (online classes only), work part-time in healthcare (3x/week, 7am-3pm), and teach yoga part-time (3x/week, 2hr shifts). My husband is often home when I’m at work, and frequently helps with pet care. He loves animals just as much as I do. Please keep my new schedule in mind if you submit a request. My PT job is somewhat flexible and my employer often lets me shift my schedule around to accommodate my other commitments, such as pet sitting. I am happy to accommodate if your pet is the right fit. I live in a single-family home with my husband. We don’t have any kids (yet)! We have a large yard and there is a nice park across the street from our home. In addition, we live within walking distance to Kahala Beach and Bark Park. I grew up in the house that I live in, so taking care of your pet will feel natural to me because it will bring back memories of when I took care of my childhood pets.

UPDATE: I have 2 indoor/outdoor cats that come and go as they please. Our cats are aloof/friendly with dogs. Usually they hang out around our back outdoor patio and generally keep their distance when we dog sit. Unfortunately, I cannot accept dogs that do not get along with or could hurt my cats. Let me know if your pet has special needs or preferences. I have experience accommodating animals who have disabilities, as the last pet I owned did not have any teeth and needed assistance with eating. Unfortunately, I will no longer be accepting new clients whose dogs use indoor absorbent pads. Dogs must be fully potty trained to use the bathroom outside. Also, dogs are more than welcome to be on the couch and on furniture, but I cannot allow them to sleep in bed with me. Dogs must be able to sleep on their own.

I’m happy to take your dog to the dog park or the beach! I live in a neighborhood that is perfect for long dog walks.

I’ve taken care of pets ever since I was young. I grew up around many dogs and cats and have had pets of my own as an adult. Friends and family have relied on and trusted me to take care of their pets throughout the years. I have taken care of cats without teeth and elderly animals that need assistance. I only accept one client at a time, so your pet will be the only animal in my house during boarding. I also have experience taking care of multiple animals at once (for example, I’ve frequently house-sat for a friend with 4 cats and 2 dogs), so if you have more than one pet, I am comfortable with caring for them all. I will treat your pet with love and care because I genuinely love all animals, especially cats and dogs.

Karen was absolutely wonderful, and I can’t recommend her enough. From the very beginning, she completely put me at ease, which means everything when you’re leaving your fur baby in someone else’s care. She was incredibly attentive and so loving toward Lulu, treating her like she was her own. Karen also sent lots of pictures and updates, which I truly appreciated and loved seeing, it made being away so much easier. It was clear Lulu was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. We’re so grateful to have found Karen and will absolutely be using her again.
Karen did very well caring for Chippy for his first three-day stay at her place. Chippy quickly got comfortable and fond of Karen. Karen also paid very good attention to understand Chippy's routine that it seems he felt at home throughout his stay. And surprisingly, Chippy stayed well-behaved even when her outdoor cat came home. He even had some time to play with her cat instead of barking or chasing her cat away. Chippy came back to us happy and stress-free. This tells me Karen is an excellent pet sitter and boarder. Thank you Karen. Looking forward to future opportunities for Chippy to board again. 🤗💝
Karen is one of our all time favorite dog sitters. She clearly loves taking care of dogs and treats them like her own. Phoebe can have separation anxiety, but she loves Karen so much that she is always excited to be there. She loves hanging out with Karen in her yard and we always get such happy smiling photos.
Very grateful for the care Karen provided on a recent work trip. 10/10, would recommend.
