Pet care experience
Cat and Dog Loving Companion
I currently watch cats for friends who travel frequently and walk a dog regularly once or twice a week. Also I will travel to watch over pets and based in Santa Cruz, California. I often watch my son's dog while he is out of town in San Diego and have another regular also in San Diego. I do not have my own pet so I rely on the love and connection I make with other cats and dogs. I love animals and like to be with them.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a 1st floor apartment with a small outside patio in a downtown environment with a park right across the street. I care for pets as needed and per instructions your home or mine.

Karen was wonderful with my dog! She’s so attentive and caring! I never have to worry if my dog is having fun because my dog is so comfortable with Karen.
Karen took good care of my dog, chickens and goats for a day. Everyone was fine when I returned. I was upset by the fact that I found my dog, Foxy, outside when I had specified to leave her in the house. I was also disappointed that my wildlife camera was not turned on-- relatively minor, but what if a mountain lion walked by? I trust Karen to do a good job.
Karen has kept my newly adopted shelter terrier dog numerous times and I can’t say enough for her care for him. He was reticent at first without me, but after the very first visit, anytime we drive near her street he starts jumping all over the car to get out to see her. She gives him lots of exercise and love, and herself is a very warm and likeable person. I recommend her highly.
Karen lovingly took care of my cats while our family was on a camping trip for four days to Yosemite last year. Karen fed, watered and spent time with them and even sent photos to keep me in touch. Karen is responsible, dependable, and is a big animal lover. I felt comfortable leaving them in her care and would do so again. Karen is easy to get in touch with and responds to text messages and calls in a prompt manner.

Schedule
I am retired and have a free and flexible schedule. Will travel. Sometimes I could be available on short notice, especially for walks. There are several nice walking areas within five minutes drive and a park across the street. Prefer a weeks notice on overnights.
