I am a stay at home mom with two kids in school so I have plenty of time during the day to walk, train, and give your pets love and attention. My children are gentle and respectful with animals and would love to play fetch with your dog after school or just snuggle up with them to watch a movie. Your pets would be a part of our family while they are here!

We have an acre of fenced yard where your pets would have free reign. I am happy to crate if needed but I am always home and welcome pets on the furniture and anywhere they feel comfortable. We prefer dogs that are not cat aggressive although our cat can come and go as she pleases through her cat door and would more than likely keep her distance. I'm happy to accomodate any special requirements your pets may have such as medications, special feeding needs, etc.

Information Karen C. would like to know about your pet
We prefer to have dogs that are not overly cat aggressive so we don't stress out our cat Mayflower. We understand that curiosity is normal but we want to avoid dogs that have a strong instinct to hunt and have killed small animals in the past. It's also important to us that the dogs we board be tolerant of children. My kids are 8 and 11 and have interacted with many different kinds of animals and are very respectful of dogs and their space.
A typical day
We live just down the road from John Bryan State Park and we love to go there for long walks by the water. We are also less than a mile from the bikepath where we can run and rollerblade if your dog is high energy. If your dog needs social time and plays well with others off leash we are only a few miles from the Yellow Springs dog park. We also have an acre of fenced yard where we can play fetch with your pets or just let them relax.

We love all animals big and small!
Pet care experience
We are a family of four with a small homestead on several acres of land, both fenced and unfenced woods, on the outskirts of Yellow Springs. We have raised chickens and goats and currently have one indoor/outdoor cat. We do not currently have a dog but have had them in the past and have also cared for friends dogs, cats, and even horses. We love to go for walks in the woods, for runs on the bike path, or to take trips to the dog park so we are ready for whatever activity level your dog requires!
