I am currently testing out semi-retirement, but pretty bored to be honest...need to keep busy and working with and caring for pets sounds amazing to me! My availability is very flexible.

A typical day
As far as activities, will take my cues from you the owner. Does your dog like to chase down a ball? Frisbee? agility activities? Are they good in a dog park? Not the thing for every dog! Preferred dog walk routes? The owner knows their pet the best!! For cats, if high energy, lots of chasing toys, my cat actually plays fetch with me with her catnip loaded stuffed mouse.

Pet care experience
I have had dogs in my family circle my whole life. Experience with small breeds (Maltese Terrier) to big and goofy (St. Bernard). Cared for the couch potato pup to the energy loaded tornado of a dog. Have cared for dogs with broken limbs, diabetes, and epilepsy. My daughter has a Pitbull who is a total lover. I am not intimidated by the breed if your Pittie is a lover too. Perhaps not relevant to this site, but years of experience with horses as well.

Highly recommend Karen. She was thoughtful, caring, very attentive to instructions, and truly cared for my pets. During the in-house stay, she treated it with respect as if it was her own.
I’ll be honest, I was a bit hesitant about having a sitter in our home, but Karen immediately put me at ease. She watched our elderly dog for a full week while we were on vacation and sent photo updates throughout. She even checked our flight status, noticed it was delayed, and stayed longer to make sure our dog was looked after until we were actually home. Karen was reliable, thoughtful, and so caring. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her.
Karen stepped up last minute when my friend backed out of watching my cats the night before Christmas Eve. I cannot thank her enough for being available, and for the great care she took of my two cats while I was gone. She provided updates and our cats seemed to like her!
