Dogs love our countryside retreat.
We (me and hubby Anthony) have been taking care of friends and family's dogs for the last 10 years. They are always reluctant to leave us. We simply love caring for dogs and our own cocker spaniel loves to have new friends. We are an adults only house and things are pretty quiet and relaxed.

Tommy had the best time at Karen and Anthony’s. Made himself right at home. First time I’ve ever left my dog with a border. I was immediately put at ease following our meet and greet and knew when Tommy went to stay he would have a lovely time. Which he did of course. Was lovely to receive the pictures Karen sent whilst I was away….confirmation my dog was living the good life. Would highly recommend Karen and Anthony to care for your hairy hounds!
If I could leave 10/10 I would. The dogs had a wonderful stay with Karen and Anthony whose kindness and care for the dogs' individual needs was absolutely evident. I very much appreciated the peace of mind of knowing they were safe and having the best time. Thank you both. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and hope this is the first of many stays.
Honey had a great time with Karen if judging by the regular updates ( both video clips & photos) is anything to go by. Karen provided a lovely environment for Honey, plenty of outside space to play. Overall , l think Honey was spoiled, she is an anxious Cockapoo but was well looked after.. Thank you Karen & Anthony .
This is the first time we have used the Rover site and all gone very well. We were a bit apprehensive about leaving our Cockapoo, Benji, but we needn't of worried. Karen and her husband were the perfect pick, and we could tell from our meet and greet beforehand that they love dogs and how good they are with them. We had regular updates whilst we were away with photos and messages which was lovely. On pick up it was clear Benji was happy and enjoying being there. Will definately use again. Thank you Karen (and Anthony too).
Hattie is always so happy when she spends the day with Karen and Anthony. It gives us a lot of comfort.
As always our dogs consider Karen&Anthony's place as home from home. They are very much at liberty to go anywhere in the house, and sleep on the bed etc like they do at home. They are obviously very comfortable with their hosts, they very much shared their affection with all 4 of us equally, i.e.owners and hosts. Also Karen&Anthony follow our instructions faithfully, and both Bess and Millie looked well, happy and relaxed when we collected them.

Schedule
Daily dog walks on different country routes are a joy. As we both work from home we tend not to leave any dog longer than two hours if we have to pop out.

Safety, trust & environment
We are lucky to have such a large space (just under an acre) for the dogs run around which is all secure and safe. Overnight boarding, a dog will have free roam to find their comfy space and can sleep on the bed if they prefer. We try to follow the dog's usual routine to help them settle with us.
Pets
A typical day
We find a lot of dogs love chasing/playing ball in our garden/field together with hide and seek the toy or the human..I have been able to train some dogs to sniff out and find their treats.
