I'm a stay-at-home dog mom, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I love spending time with animals and ensure they receive the best care. Alongside this, I help my sister with her kids' sports activities, which keeps me busy. I'm currently aiming to get to full-time schedule, by adding extra services such as, housekeeping, dog nail trims, basic dog baths, and deshedding brush sessions to provide even more support to pet owners. I try tailor each day to fit the dogs I have and keeping in mind the owner's needs, so it can vary a lot. Typically, we’ll enjoy activities that the pet loves, whether that’s playing fetch, going for walks, or just cuddling. I make sure to keep things fun and engaging, based on what each pet enjoys and what their owners prefer. It’s all about making sure the pets have a great time while staying safe and happy!

I’m Karen Buhr-Howard, a born and raised farm girl with a lifelong love for dogs. With over 25 years of experience handling dogs of all sizes—from playful puppies to caring for senior dogs—my background has given me a deep understanding and respect for these wonderful companions. Now, as a certified dog trainer from the Animal Behavior College, I bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to every pet care situation. What I Offer: Doggie daycare & boarding : I'm flexible and happy to discuss how I can best meet your dog’s needs. Drop-In Visits: Perfect for when you can’t get away from work or need someone trustworthy to check in on your furry friend. Dog Walking: I can take up to 2 dogs at a time for a fun and safe walk in your neighborhood. Special Considerations: I am mildly allergic to cats, so while I can't stay in homes with cats for an extended period, I'm still available for dog walks and quick visits. Aside from my pet care services, I help my sister with her kids' sports activities in the late afternoons and most weekends from April through August. My Approach: Every dog is unique, and I pride myself on tailoring my care to fit each pet’s needs and their owner’s instructions. I’m familiar with a variety of collars, halters, and harnesses, and know how to fit them properly to ensure the safety and comfort of your pets. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and now they are my career. You can trust that your four-legged family members will be in good hands with me. I'm here to make sure they receive the best care and have a great time!
