I’m Karen Buhr-Howard, a born and raised farm girl with a lifelong love for dogs. With over 25 years of experience handling dogs of all sizes—from playful puppies to caring for senior dogs—my background has given me a deep understanding and respect for these wonderful companions. Now, as a certified dog trainer from the Animal Behavior College, I bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to every pet care situation. What I Offer: Doggie daycare & boarding : I'm flexible and happy to discuss how I can best meet your dog’s needs. Drop-In Visits: Perfect for when you can’t get away from work or need someone trustworthy to check in on your furry friend. Dog Walking: I can take up to 2 dogs at a time for a fun and safe walk in your neighborhood. Special Considerations: I am mildly allergic to cats, so while I can't stay in homes with cats for an extended period, I'm still available for dog walks and quick visits. Aside from my pet care services, I help my sister with her kids' sports activities in the late afternoons and most weekends from April through August. My Approach: Every dog is unique, and I pride myself on tailoring my care to fit each pet’s needs and their owner’s instructions. I’m familiar with a variety of collars, halters, and harnesses, and know how to fit them properly to ensure the safety and comfort of your pets. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and now they are my career. You can trust that your four-legged family members will be in good hands with me. I'm here to make sure they receive the best care and have a great time!

When caring for pets i always start by listening carefully to their owners instructions and preferences. This helps me maintain a semblance of their usual routine to try to lessen disrupting their established routines. From there, I rely on my experience and training to make the best decisions for the pet’s safety and well-being. I’m attentive and adaptable, making sure that every pet feels secure and loved in their environment.

Schedule
I'm a stay-at-home dog mom, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I love spending time with animals and ensure they receive the best care. Alongside this, I help my sister with her kids' sports activities, which keeps me busy. I'm currently aiming to get to full-time schedule, by adding extra services such as, housekeeping, dog nail trims, basic dog baths, and deshedding brush sessions to provide even more support to pet owners. Prices varies for these services please feel free to inquire about these services with details of what you need done.
