I'm also a health insurance broker who works part-time from home. I have doggie beds in the office and in my bedroom. I have an 11-year-old Yorkie and a 14-year-old Malti-poo. After we get up, they do their "business" and eat. Then we walk. After that, everyone gets a snack, then everyone takes a nap! My home is "pet-proof, so your pet has free rein of a lot of the house. I put down puppy papers in case it's raining. If your pet is older, we will walk around the property. Otherwise, we will go on leisurely walks.

Safety, trust & environment
I have tall vinyl fences around the perimeter of my backyard. When we do go outside, I NEVER leave a pet out of my sight. I have six cameras outside the home, and three inside. I am close to all my neighbors, and we look after each other. I prefer a halter on a dog.

Information Karel B. would like to know about your pet
Explain the daily routine. If medicine is needed, explain the medicines, dosage and when they should be given. Explain any special dietary needs. What time(s) of day does your pet eat? Does your pet eat only dry, only moist, or a combination of the two? What is your dog used to when he or she goes "out"? Is there an expression or term that is used (time to go sniff)? All directives as to how, where, what and when in case of an emergency. We exchange reliable contact information.
A typical day
I allow him or her the time to smell everything and explore while we walk. I let your pet explore the garden while I work there. We play fetch; I have lightweight dog toys (easier to carry in a small pet's mouth!). I have always had lap dogs. We soothe each other, I guess. Dogs are amazing, how affectionate and trusting they are!

Your Pets are Treated like Family
Pet care experience
Your pet will be treated like family in my home. I spend quality time playing, cuddling, and giving each guest plenty of personal attention and affection. For comfort and security, your pet’s bed will be placed in my bedroom at the foot of my bed — and if they’re used to extra snuggles, they’re welcome to sleep in my king-sized bed. As an experienced professional pet sitter, I’m prepared to handle unexpected situations while you’re away, whether it’s a power outage, an illness, or any other emergency requiring calm, responsible care. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and videos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and loved. For the comfort and safety of all guests, I only accept dogs 15 pounds and under.
Reviews

Karel has a warm and affectionate nature and took very good care of our senior pet on multiple occasions. She goes above and beyond in understanding and attending to our pet's unique needs. She frequently sent us pics and videos during the stay and it was clear that our pet was being well cared for. We are very happy with Karel and will definitely book again.
