We love dogs, and are very patient!
I am a full time high school teacher with a lot of doggie love to give. My husband is a stay at home dad so he is home to watch the dogs during the day. I had a dog previously that has passed away from cancer. I had to administer IV fluids myself, so I am used to a little extra care if necessary. Our dogs are all adopted, love everyone and are sweeties. We have a teenage daughter that loves dogs more than anything. She has wanted to be a vet since she was 3. My friends have called me “the dog whisperer”. I have more patience than most people can imagine possible, and will help your fur baby feel right at home! Unfortunately I don’t take unfixed females. Kara and Jim are amazing! They were so flexible with me in setting up a meet & greet promptly to ease my mind. I was nervous leaving my pup with new people, since she is a bit wary of strangers. Jim was so good with slowly integrating her with the other dogs. He provided me with updates and pictures, which really eased my mind. My dog had a great time and I’m looking forward to her staying with them again soon!
Kara and her husband were wonderful! Quick to respond, sent pictures and videos during the stay, and understanding. My dog looked like he had a blast and still wanted to hang out when I went to pick him up.
My little Boston loved playing with Oreo. Loved the video and photo updates.
Jim has a pretty good system down when Kara is at work. He slowly integrated my dog with theirs. Bella was able to roam around, not stuck in a cage. As she met the other two dogs, I detected interest, not aggression. He gave her time to explore the her area by herself. As well as photos and updates, Jim called me to collaborate on how to get her to eat her dry food. Chicken soup worked! Great tag team.
Our Doberman felt very comfortable, he got along with their dogs right away. Kara was very communicative by updating me how Tyson was and how he was settling in. Our family appreciated that very much and will be in touch for future boarding with Kara!. Thank you Kara for the hospitality 🙂 Also Big Thank you, even though it was last minute it was very appreciative how she accommodated us.
I had to go out of state for the holidays and needed a dog sitter for my senior dog. Kara and her family did an amazing job looking after Munch and keeping him comfortable in their home. I was happy to see he had bonded with Kara's dogs as well. Kara kept me updated with daily updates and photos of Munch. I will definitely ask Kara for help dog sitting in the future and recommend her to anyone I know locally if they are looking for a dog sitter.

Schedule
There is always someone home all day to watch over the fur babies. We have 3 dogs of our own, so we are already used to daily pet care.

Safety, trust & environment
We live on a hill with a lot of plants to smell and discover... and of course to tire them out. My large yard will provide a huge "play pen" so that we can play fetch or chase around toys.
Pets
A typical day
I have two full laundry baskets full of toys that we play with. They can see what they like the best, we also have a big doggie only couch with some blankets to cuddle and watch TV before bed. All dogs are kenneled at night for safety purposes.
