Hello! My name is Kara, and I would love to take care of your pets for you! First I will tell you a little bit about myself! I am a previous teacher who decided to pursue a lifelong passion of working with animals! I have been a walker/sitter through Rover for 6 years now, but have taken care of animals long before I became a Rover sitter! I have an open and flexible schedule, so if you need me to drop in/walk more than once a day, I can do that! I have experience with many different types of animals, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, bunnies, turtles, and fish! Although I have taken care of many different types of animals, most of my clients are dogs! I have taken care of puppies from the age of two months old, to elderly dogs the age of 16. I love caring for all animals, no matter the breed, age or size! I also have experience with overnight care, on top of dog walking and drop in visits. Lastly, I have experience with giving medications, both orally and injections! I am currently not offering overnight dog sitting in my home or in other homes. Although our dog Louie has shown to be good with a few other dogs that have stayed overnight with us, we did have one bad experience with another dog coming into our home and being aggressive/biting our dog. So I am no longer offering overnight care, but would be happy to do drop in visits/walks! I am available to do pet sitting (in your home) during the day, on top of the once a day dog walking and drop in visits I usually do! I only ever walk one clients dogs at a time, so you will not need to worry about your dog getting along with any of my other clients. I do requiring all potential clients to have a formal meet and greet with me and their pets before I am able to book. This new requirement is not only for my own safety, but also the safety of your pets. Although they may act one way with you, your pets may behave completely different with another individual who it is not yet comfortable with. All animals are different, and you just never know how your pet will act with someone new. So, if you are unable to have a meet and greet before you would like me to take care of your pet for the first time, it may be best that you find another sitter! I am sorry for any inconvenience this may pose for you. Because your pets are a part of your family, it is important to treat them that way and give them the proper care they need when you are away! That’s where I come in! I also believe that animals are a great judge of character, and if you show love to them they will show you love back! There is no such thing as too many friends when you are an animal, which is why I’m hoping to become another one of your pets best friends!
