I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals and have been caring for them for most of my life. Our family raised Rottweilers, and throughout my life I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and many other animals. I currently have two cats and goats of my own. I have experience caring for cats with special dietary needs, medications, anxiety and individual routines. I understand how important consistency can be, especially for animals who are sensitive, anxious, older or have additional care needs. One of my strengths is being very attuned to animals’ body language, behavior and subtle cues. I tend to notice when an animal is comfortable, uncertain, overstimulated or asking for space, and I adjust my approach rather than forcing interaction. Building trust and allowing each animal to connect in their own way is very important to me. I’m also a licensed massage therapist and wellness business owner, so being attentive, gentle and responsive is a big part of what I do professionally. I run a business with a team of approximately 20 people, which means I’m accustomed to responsibility, detailed instructions, established procedures and clear communication. Most importantly, I genuinely love animals and want them to feel safe, understood and well cared for while their people are away. I’m happy to follow your pet’s established feeding, medication, walking, play and household routines so their experience is as comfortable and familiar as possible.
