Hi there! I’m Kara, a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet sitter. I grew up surrounded by all kinds of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, and chickens. Caring for pets has always been a part of my life, and I truly adore every furry (or feathered!) friend I meet. I graduated from the University of Utah in 2024 and currently work as a Civil Engineer. I’ve been pet sitting since middle school, and I gained most of my formal experience right here on Rover while I was in college. My partner, Lucy, will be my teammate in caring for your pet. Lucy is 21 and works at PetSmart as a dog bather, so they’re very comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. They’re passionate about animal care and have a ton of hands-on experience. We currently live with Lucy’s parents and help care for their two dogs , including one who is reactive and disabled, so we’re familiar with pets who need extra patience, understanding, or special accommodations. We would love the opportunity to care for your pet while you’re away. Your animal’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be our top priorities. You can trust that they will be well cared for… and maybe a little spoiled during our time together! We can’t wait to meet your fur babies!

We are available for overnight pet sitting at the pet’s home and for individual walks and drop-ins. Let us know your animal’s needs and we will meet, or exceed, your expectations!

They were wonderful with taking care of our full house of 3 dogs; they cleaned up the house and even washed the bedding before we got home. We will be contacting them again in the future if we leave out of town.
My dog loves to pull and has broken out of his harness many times. I'm very hesitant letting new people walk him. Lucy was great and was able to walk my dog while keeping him safe. They are also great at reading dog body language and let my stubborn dog warm up to them which was very helpful for my dog
Kara and Lucy did so good with my dog! Ican’t recommend this Rover dog walker highly enough! it was clear that they are a professional, trustworthy, and experienced dog walker who truly cares about the dogs they work with. Communication was excellent. My dog can be nervous with new people, but they were patient and let my dog warm up to them. They arrived on time, followed all instructions perfectly, and made sure my dog got both physical exercise and positive mental stimulation. If you’re searching for a reliable Rover dog walker who treats your dog like their own, this is the one. I will absolutely be booking again and would recommend them to anyone

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into our weekly routine. I (Kara) work Monday–Thursday from 8:30–5:30, and Lucy works 5–8 hour shifts about five days a week. Because our schedules are staggered, there is usually someone home or available within a reasonable window, which makes it easy for us to provide consistent check-ins, feeding, playtime, and lots of attention.
