I work from home full time, with a very flexible schedule. I’m available for boarding weekdays and weekends. I’ve got 10min access to off lead fields and other walking routes, and only 100m away from a quiet on-leash open space. I would love some company on walks or runs!

I have a secure and fully fenced (brick, well over 8 ft) private garden courtyard. The courtyard is fairly small, but large open fields are a 10min walk away for much longer runs. The house is set on a side lane off a moderately busy road, with intermittent traffic noise.

Let me know if your dog or cat has any special dietary or medical needs and we can chat through their feeding or medication schedule. If your dog prefers not to be around other dogs or people, that’s fine - I’m very near a quiet on-leash open space that is perfect for low stress walks, or we can play at home! I will flag that while I have some experience with animals with lower risk medical needs, I have limited experience with behavioural concerns but am happy to discuss on a case by case basis.
A typical day
I live near several on and off leash open spaces, and would love a running or walking buddy! I also have some great toys to play with, including a very popular squeaky caterpillar. I also like to help pets, old and young, practice basic commands (with lots of treats, of course!) But if you’d prefer a chilled, quiet and safe space to relax, that’s also fine - i always welcome company on my couch while I work through work admin!

Pet care experience
I grew up on a small farm in Australia and so have always been around animals, with dogs (collies and mix breed rescues), cats, sheep, chickens and a rather unruly goat. When I moved to the UK I missed having them around, so started pet sitting for friends informally, including a very elderly cat with medical needs and an exuberant young cockerpoo. Now that I’ve moved out of London and into my own house, I’m keen to get back into offering support for owners and a lovely staycation for their pets! I don’t currently have any pets of my own, and work from home full time, so your furry family members can be my full focus!

I would highly recommend Kara, she has been great with our dog Lia, she has been very responsive to messages and is very caring and knowledgeable about dogs. Lia is a rescue and can be nervous of new people, but Kara has taken things slowly and has given Lia time to get to know her, allowing her to build confidence in her own time. I was concerned Lia would be worried about us leaving her but she settled quickly, and enjoyed spending time with Kara and playing with her toys. Kara kept us updated on how Lia was getting on throughout the day which reassured us that she was ok. Lia is looking forward to spending time with Kara again soon.
I cannot recommend Kara enough! She is fantastic! Samba had such a lovely stay and I received lots of photos from his stay to show this! Kara is very knowledgeable when it comes to looking after dogs. I will definitely book with her again! Thank you Kara!
My dog loves spending time at Kara’s and is usually curled up beside her while he is there. He has a few health issues but Kara is great with him and he is always pleased to see her.
Kara looked after our 10-month puppy for 2 nights. She understood his needs and routines and we had photos and updates while we were away. She asked about the commands he knew and kept him suitably occupied with walks and activities as he has a lot of energy! We'd have no hesitation in using her again.
