I’ve been blessed to have pets in my life for as long as I can remember. From creating a special ‘cat language’ as a toddler to caring for senior pets as an adult, I have experience with animals in every stage of life. I’m very in tune with pets’ needs and quick to notice behavior changes that may signal health concerns. I’m comfortable administering medications to both cats and dogs, well-versed in positive reinforcement training, and I’ve developed a reputation among friends for winning over even the most standoffish pets. Nothing makes me happier than making a furry friend feel safe, cared for, and loved!

Your pet’s routine is my guidebook. I stick to your instructions so things feel familiar and stress-free for them. I also take time to connect - some pets love extra play and snuggles, others just want a calm presence nearby. Either way, they’ll feel cared for and not alone.

Kara is the best! I was camping for a week and she came quite a distance (I'm at the furthest edge of her range) early in the morning, through a week of crazy storms, to feed, water and show some love to my two cats. 🥰😻😻 Iosaf and Winnie and I all give her an A+ and ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!
Kara was excellent! Will definitely seek her out to take care of my kitties in the future. I’m sure they are sad, not having her coming by for pjay time and pets. Everything great! Thank you :)

Kara is awesome! She was able to draw out both my cats during the Meet & Greet (they both run & hide when a stranger comes in the door, so I wasn't expecting them to come out for her). She was very attuned to how my one cat responded with fear to her voice changing to a deeper register and made sure to keep a gentle, light, reassuring tone. She was also super gracious about things like having to clean up a hairball and feed one cat separately in a super messy bedroom I didn't have time to clean. When Kara spontaneously said "I love cats!" while she was meeting and greeting Winnie and Iosaf, I knew she was the perfect petsitter for them!! 😻😻

Kara was so kind and amazing to our cats! She sent many pictures and our shy cat who usually doesn’t warm up quickly loved her!

Schedule
I am very flexible outside the hours of 7am - 4:30pm on weekdays. During those hours, I am less likely to be available but, if I am able to fit in a visit between my meetings, I will be happy to! Please feel free to message me and I will respond promptly if I am available.

- Please let me know if your pet has any quirks, special needs, or unique comforts that help them feel safe and happy. For example, my cat Lulu only likes head scratches until she’s warmed up to someone, and my senior dog Reggie sometimes needs help standing on his arthritis days. Every pet has their own preferences, and I want to make sure I honor yours.
