🐾Hi pet parents! My name is Kara and I’m an experienced and well-established pet care provider. I am currently available for pet care services in your home in Salem/Keizer and the surrounding areas. Exotic animals and livestock are welcome! Training and Experience: -Pet first aid certification -20 years of home pet care service -10 years of employment in training/boarding/grooming/daycare facilities -1 year volunteering at Willamette Humane Society -Medication administration (injections, pills, fluids, vaccines, PRN medications) -Completed a dog psychology and behavior seminar at OSU -Open Paw certification from Willamette Humane Society -Grooming: nails, ears, anal glands, de-matting, face and feet trims -Knowledgeable about care practices for a wide range of species: dogs and cats in all stages of life and with a wide range of behavior challenges, pet and game rabbits, several species of rodent, sugar gliders, chickens, ducks, various game fowl, sheep, llamas, goats, 10+ species of reptile, feeder colonies of mice & roaches, arachnids, and many species of indoor & outdoor aquatic animals.

At your home, I keep your pets' feeding and exercise schedule as close as possible to the way it is while you're at home. Sticking with a routine reduces separation anxiety, and builds trust between myself and your pets. They will get lots of extra love, and you will get photo updates at least twice a day!

Schedule
I work part-time supporting people with disabilities. My shifts are usually 4 hours, and that is the longest that I would be away from your pet. My dog Spaghetti comes with me to work, dog care gigs, and almost everywhere else! I never leave him unsupervised with unfamiliar pets. Shortly before you return, Spaghetti and I will go to our next destination, and your house will be as you left it.
