As a retiree, I have a very flexible schedule and can provide care any day of the week, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and last-minute bookings when available. Because I’m home most of the day, your pet will receive plenty of attention, companionship, frequent potty breaks, playtime, walks, and lots of love. I understand how important it is to keep pets on their normal routine, and I’m happy to work around their schedule to help them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment

“For everyone’s safety, I only allow dogs outdoors while securely leashed unless otherwise instructed by the owner.” As a previous owner of two small Yorkies, who sadly passed away from old age, I know how important it is for them to continuously be watched due to predators etc. I will always be very cautious with your prize possessions. I occasionally have my 7 year old grandson in my home, but he is great with animals. He’s only at my place a couple times a week.

A typical day would be to follow the schedule you have provided. Also, morning, potty break breakfast outside play or walk. Lots of snuggles and cuddles throughout the day with continuous potty breaks and several outdoor play time or walk. At night dinner if they eat twice a day, cuddles, potty break, and tucked in nicely to their little beds whether it’s sleeping with me or in their bed on the floor, or tucked away in their crate for the night. .

Loving Care While You’re Away!

Pet care experience

I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have cared for pets since I was a child. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I truly love. As a retired pet sitter with a flexible schedule, I can give your pets the time, attention, companionship, and frequent potty breaks they deserve throughout the day. I’m experienced caring for pets of all ages, including senior dogs and cats, and I’m comfortable administering medications when needed. I also have experience caring for cats, alpacas, goats, chickens, and cows, so I’m comfortable with a variety of animals and their unique needs. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I take the time to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I share my home with my sweet senior Beagle, who is very laid-back, gentle, and gets along well with other animals. His calm personality helps visiting pets feel welcome and at ease. While my yard is not fenced, I live in a wonderful, walkable neighborhood that’s perfect for safe leash walks, sniff adventures, or stroller rides for senior pets who still enjoy getting outside. For added peace of mind, a veterinary clinic is conveniently located right at the bottom of my street should an emergency ever arise. I will care for your pets as if they were my own, providing them with plenty of love, patience, and individualized attention. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your furry family member is in loving, dependable hands.

Kara is the perfect person for any type of pet care. She is very loving with dogs giving them her full attention as she is very conscientious and well organized and experienced with animals fulfilling all their needs. She also found our dog "Lola", 8 years old that needed a new home. Lola is the joy of our life and she absolutely loves Kara and gets so happy and excited to see her. You will be extremely pleased to have Kara care for your pet. She is retired and can fulfil all your pet's needs.

Kara is the person you would want for any type of pet care. She is loving, thoughtful and very conscientious . She is also well organized. I would also say she found our little dog online for us that was almost 8 years old and needed a home. Lola is a Chiweenie and she is the joy of our life. She also absolutely loves Kara . You would be lucky to have Kara working for you! She is great! You will be very happy with her.
