Hi! My name’s Kara, and I’m here this summer for an internship - what better way to explore the city than with your pup (or kitty)? I am a former Veterinary Assistant at a local animal hospital, and I have professional experience working at a humane society as an Animal Care Tech, a locally owned pet store, and have volunteered in wildlife rehabilitation and other shelters. I’m well educated in animal nutrition and behavior, Fear Free Shelter certified, and confident in my abilities around animals of all sizes, temperaments, and needs! I am able to give oral and injectable medications, and administer subcutaneous fluids. I also have experience with cats, rodents, reptiles, aquatics, birds, and a lot more. I approach your pets with a fear-free technique. Having your best friend feel comfortable with me is the most important thing, so I work to establish a positive bond between us! With lots of pets and, if you allow, treats. I will always leave your home better than I found it if housesitting, and can water plants if needed as well.

Kara is a great sitter! Took care of my dog and was punctual and friendly.
While our cat is very social, she doesn't usually go up to new people looking for attention and pets. But our kitty really warmed to Kara during the meet-and-greet, going right to her. We scheduled drop-in visits for long weekend, and Kara took excellent care of our cat. We really appreciated receiving Kara's messages and photos of our kitty. We would absolutely hire Kara again!
Kara did an amazing job!! She sent me lots of pictures and updates while I was away and made me feel like my pet was in great hands!
Incredibly responsive, gives great and succinct updates, comfort with many different types of pets. super easy to get in contact with and replies quickly, will definitely rebook!
She did an amazing job of taking care of my senior cat who has a lot of medication needs. She left the house immaculate and sent regular photo updates!
Kara did a great job housesitting for us! I came home to a super clean house, a very relaxed dog, and I got lots of pictures while I was away!
