I do work outside the home during the week. My schedule allows for regular potty breaks, meals, exercise, and plenty of quality time before, during, and after work. On my days off, I'm home much more and enjoy spending that extra time with the dogs in my care.

I strive to make every dog feel as comfortable as possible by following their normal routine. Before each stay, I like to learn about your dog's schedule, feeding routine, exercise needs, favorite activities, and any medications or special instructions. Dogs have supervised access to our fenced backyard for potty breaks, playtime, and fresh air throughout the day. Inside, they are treated like part of the family and have plenty of time for relaxation, enrichment, and attention. For safety, all dogs are fed separately, and I carefully supervise interactions. If a dog needs quiet time, crate time, or a break from the other dogs, I'm happy to accommodate that as well. Throughout their stay, I'll send regular photo updates so you can see how your pup is doing and enjoy your time away with peace of mind. My goal is to provide a safe, structured, and loving environment where every dog feels at home.

Please let me know about their daily routine, feeding schedule, potty habits, energy level, temperament, and how they interact with other dogs and people. It's also important to share any medical conditions, medications, allergies, anxieties, fears, or behaviors such as resource guarding, separation anxiety, escape tendencies, or leash reactivity. If your dog has any favorite toys, comfort items, or sleeping preferences, I'd love to know those too! The more information you provide, the better I can help your pet feel safe, comfortable, and at home during their stay.

For cats or pets who prefer staying in, I make sure they get playtime, cuddles, or quiet companionship to start their day off right. I'll adapt to your pet’s personality, age, and energy level to make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for every step of the way.

I believe every dog deserves individualized care, not a one-size-fits-all experience. I take the time to learn each dog's routine, personality, and needs so I can help them feel safe and comfortable while they're away from home. Safety is my top priority. I carefully supervise interactions between dogs, feed them separately, and make sure each pet has their own space to relax if they need a break. My home also features a fenced backyard, giving dogs a secure place to play, explore, and enjoy frequent potty breaks. I understand how important it is to stay connected while you're away, so I provide regular photo and video updates throughout your pet's stay. My goal is for you to have peace of mind knowing your dog is being treated like part of the family. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers a quiet place to unwind, I'll do my best to make their stay enjoyable, safe, and as stress-free as possible.

Our experience with Kara was wonderful from start to finish. She kept in touch throughout our vacation and sent regular photos of Brix, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was being well cared for. Kara is incredibly receptive to my cat’s wants and needs. She’s gentle and respectful, offering scratches, pets, and cuddles only when they’re wanted. She has a natural way with animals—my cats actively seek her out, which says everything!
