Hi! I’m Kara, a proud pet lover and full-time work from home recruiting professional. I absolutely adore animals, and I would love the chance to care for your pets like they’re part of my own family. Because I work remotely with a flexible schedule, I’m able to stay in your home and provide consistent companionship and attentive care morning, midday, evening, and overnight while you travel. That means fewer disruptions to your pet’s routine, more belly rubs and playtime, and the peace of mind that someone is truly present in their space and not just stopping by. I know how stressful it can be to leave your furry family members behind. My goal is simple: to match the everyday love, trust, and TLC your pets are used to and then sprinkle in a little extra magic so they barely notice you were gone (okay… maybe they’ll miss you just a little). I’ve been lucky enough to have two incredible long term dogs in my life - Red, our family pup who lived to 17, and my sweet Jack, who was by my side for 16 years. While I wasn’t quite ready to adopt again, I realized something important, caring for pets has always been part of who I am. After years of pet sitting for family and friends, I joined Rover to extend that same love and dedication to more pet parents who need someone trustworthy and big-hearted. It gives us a chance to meet, walk through your pet’s schedule and personality, and make sure everyone feels safe and confident, especially your pets! I only provide pet care in my client’s home and never in my own. This keeps pets in the environment where they feel safest and most comfortable. Since I work from home full-time, I’m able to offer consistent companionship, maintain their routine, and give attentive care throughout the day. Being in their familiar space helps build trust, reduces stress, and ensures they feel secure while you’re away, which is always my top priority. 🐾💛

Kara was amazing!
Kara was very friendly and handled responsibility like a pro (Oh wait! She is a pro!) taking notes as I introduced her to our pups and showed her around our home. Pups were happy to see her and all went well. We didn’t have a single worry, and except for the pictures she sent never even thought of them while gone! Ha! Thanks, Kara!
Kara was a FANTASTIC sitter! She was in daily contact with me about my two dogs and sent pictures as well. My first impression of her was that she was very thorough, organized, and honest. She was all of that plus very responsible and flexible. Her job allowed her to stay in my home for the entire stay and just relax with my dogs. My husband and I look forward to having her house sit/dog sit again:)
Kara was amazing! I contacted her on such short notice and she was able to work us into her schedule. We have lots of pets and she was so accommodating to their needs. One of our dogs was having an allergy flare up and required extra attention/medical care and she took care of him no problem. She was great about updates and sending pictures. I would absolutely book with her again!
This was my first time to have Kara, or anyone stay in my home with my Rocco. Rocco is quirky but Kara was absolutely wonderful. I was nervous at first but the first day she took pictures and made me completely comfortable. Rocco took to her and was completely at ease with her. Karla is warm and caring with pets, she is a very kind person. I would recommend her to anyone. The next time I need someone it will be Kara.

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my routine! I work from home full-time, so I’m able to give pets consistent companionship, care, and attention throughout the day. I love keeping their schedule steady in the comfort of their own familiar, safe space and it helps them feel secure, happy, and right at home. 🐾💛
