I grew up with dogs my whole life, so I know the little things that make a dog comfortable, from reading their body language to knowing when it's walk time versus nap time. I also regularly dog sit for close friends, so I'm used to adjusting to different routines and personalities (every dog's got them). My husband and I both work from home with flexible schedules, so your dog gets real company throughout the day, not just quick check-ins! We've also got a dachshund, Alfie, who's super friendly and always down for play time. Any dog we watch gets treated like part of the family, lots of walks, lots of belly rubs, and lots of love!

Kara has watched my dog, Pippa, since she was a puppy, and now she's 5 years old. She's always been so patient, caring, and dependable. Whether they're going for walks, playing fetch, or heading out on a hike, I know Pippa is having the best time and getting lots of love and attention. Kara is also amazing with communication. She always keeps me updated with photos and videos, which gives me so much peace of mind and lets me see how much fun Pippa is having while I'm away. Kara has such a warm, easygoing personality that makes both me and Pip feel comfortable. Pippa absolutely loves her, and I always feel completely at ease leaving her in Kara's care because I know she'll be treated like family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kara to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pet, and I'd happily have her watch Pippa again anytime!
I am the world‘s most type A dog mom and Kara is the one person I trust to watch my furry child without thinking twice. She always goes above and beyond to treat my precious little dog like he is her own. She listens to my instructions and does not judge how neurotic of a control freak I am. My dog is always excited to see her — whether she is watching my dog at my house or hers. My dog is very picky about the people that he likes, so the fact that he fell in love with her so quickly was incredible. Kara has such great energy and is basically a dog whisperer! My dog has become even better on walks after going on walks with her. I am so thankful to have met Kara — and my dog agrees!
The thing about Kara is she actually cares, and you can tell right away. She didn't push herself on our shy guy. He takes a little while to warm up to people, and with her he was able to do it with way less anxiety. She's patient too. Never rushed him, never got annoyed. And their own dog Alfie was good with him the whole time, so he had company. Loved that she sent me photos and paid attention to the small stuff. She quickly clocked his routine and habits, and checked in with us to understand how best to care for him. If you want someone who's actually going to love your pet while you're gone, book Kara.

Schedule
I work a part-time, work-from-home job, so I have a lot of flexibility built into my week. My husband works from home too, so there's always someone around during the day. We have a big yard for dogs to run and play in, and on rainy days we've got plenty of toys to keep things fun indoors. Our neighborhood is also very walkable, so daily walks are an easy part of the routine. Whether it's a boarding stay or a full day of daycare, your dog will get lots of attention, exercise, and plenty of playtime throughout the day. We will treat your dog like family!

Your dog's safety and comfort come first, always. We have a fully fenced yard, so playtime and potty breaks are secure, and dogs are never left unsupervised outside. Indoors, they've got space to relax, plenty of toys, and a calm environment to settle into, plus a friendly playmate in our dachshund, Alfie, if they're feeling social. We stick close to your dog's normal routine (feeding times, walk schedule, bedtime habits) so the transition feels as seamless as possible, and we're always happy to send photo or video updates throughout their stay. If your dog requires extra care, just let us know, we're happy to accommodate!
